At WWE Crown Jewel 2022 The Usos put their Undisputed Tag Team Titles on the line against The Brawling Brutes. The rivalry between the two teams has been running for a number of weeks with the British duo coming within inches of the claiming the gold on September 23rd.
Tension between the two sides went up more than a few notches on the October 21st edition of Friday Night SmackDown when The Bloodline took out Sheamus.
Jey Uso Carrying An Injury?
As The Usos made their way to the ring at WWE Crown Jewel, Jey was sporting a long bandage from his hand up past his elbow. On commentary, Michael Cole noted that Jey Uso believed that he had suffered a broken wrist and would be heading for an MRI scan on Monday (November 7th). Cole added that Jey thought that he suffered the injury during a recent European tour.
It is unclear whether Jey is carrying a legitimate issue of some kind, or if the injury is purely for storyline purposes.
Despite the suspected injury, The Usos again retained their Undisputed Tag Team Titles following a hard fought victory. The end of the match came in stunning fashion with the champions hitting their 1D on Butch from the top rope.
It has already been announced that The Usos will be back in action on the upcoming November 11th episode of SmackDown against the New Day. The Usos have been SmackDown Tag Team Champions for a remarkable 475 days, while the WWE Tag Team Title record is currently set at 483 days, and is held by the New Day.
The show will also feature the start of the SmackDown World Cup. At present no competitors have been confirmed for the tournament.
Current line-up for November 11th WWE SmackDown:
