WWE Reunites With Major American Collectible Company; New Deal Announced

WWE Star Returns From Injury At Live Event

WWE has begun its new year with a bang.

In less than a week, on January 6th, 2025, World Wrestling Entertainment will begin its $5 billion deal with Netflix. With Raw, premiering on Netflix next Monday, the promotion has made another significant move in the industry.

Closing ties with the card company, ‘Panini’, ‘Topps’ will now be the promotion’s official card home. Earlier today it was announced via a social media post that the American collectible giant, Topps, best known for its sports and non-sports trading cards, has signed a long-term deal. It will now serve as the official card partner of the Stamford-based promotion.

From 2005 to 2021, Topps served as the exclusive partner for the promotion’s trading cards. However, in 2022, Panini took over the license and was expected to be an exclusive dealer until the end of 2025.

Unfortunately, in 2023, the wrestling promotion finished its ties with Panini earlier than expected, resulting in a lawsuit from the Italian company that concluded in a settlement. From this year, wrestling fans can again relive their nostalgia with Topps cards.

More Details On WWE Trading Cards History

Trading cards have always been a popular tradition among the fans. Especially baseball and wrestling cards have often served as the icing on the cake. Dating back to the 90s, the promotion has often tied up with several card production companies, including Topps, Panini, and Fleer.

While fans remember Logan Paul for purchasing a Pokemon trading card for $5.25 million, wrestling fans have their own achievement. Earlier last month, a 1982 Wrestling All Stars Hulk Hogan card in mint condition was sold for $132,000.
