WWE Reportedly Looking To Replace Currently Contracted Group

Former WWE Women's Champion Signs New Deal

A long-contracted WWE group is set to end ties with the promotion.

On the 13th September episode of SmackDown, the blue brand premiered on the USA Network, with new fonts, graphics, logo, and a brand new theme song. The latest song ‘Neva Play’ by Meghan Thee Stallion featuring BTS’ RM replaced Def Rebel’s work.

For the past three years, Def Rebel’s song featuring Supreme Madness served as the blue brand’s theme song. And, from 2019 to 2022 AC/DC’s “Are You Ready” acted as the promotion’s titular song.

However, a recent report from Cory Hayes of PWN, dropped a piece of major news on WWE’s future agreement with music artists, and the currently employed Def Rebel. The report noted that WWE now wants to collaborate with mainstream artists. However, this does not immediately rule Def Rebel out of the picture, as the Stamford-based promotion now wants a diverse artist list.

More Details On Def Rebel’s WWE Future

Further details on Def Rebel’s status with WWE were shared by PW Nexus on X(Twitter). The report claimed that the music group looks forward to not renewing their contract with the promotion once it concludes.

Still reports, the update is yet to be confirmed. As of now, the promotion is set to continue its partnership with Def Rebel, while utilizing a diverse list of music contributors.
