WWE Reportedly “Extremely Interested” In Signing Wardlow

The Pinnacle’s resident war dog Wardlow has his admirers in WWE according to a new report with the suggestion that the company would be very keen to lure him away from AEW.

‘Mr. Mayhem’ burst onto the scene in AEW in November 2019, backing up MJF during his feud with Cody Rhodes. Since then Wardlow has kept a close watch on MJF and joined him in Inner Circle before MJF revealed his master plan to form his own group that included FTR, Shawn Spears, and Tully Blanchard.

In recent weeks, however, Wardlow has been making a name on his own as he has decimated opponent after opponent with a symphony of powerbombs much to the dismay of his Pinnacle partner Shawn Spears.

This approach has lifted Wardlow’s AEW career record to 40 wins and 6 defeats and he is currently the number 2 ranked contender in the company.

WrestleVotes has now reported that they believe WWE would be interested in Wardlow and says there are those within that company that are very fond of the star:

“With his biggest match to date happening later tonight, I can confirm, without hesitation, that WWE will be extremely interested in luring Wardlow away from AEW when his contract is due. There are several people within World Wrestling Entertainment that LOVE his potential.”

Wardlow will be forced to do MJF’s bidding once again on AEW Dynamite as he goes one-on-one with CM Punk. Punk is desperate to get MJF in the ring for a singles bout between the two men but the three-time Dynamite Diamond winner appears less than keen for that to happen.
