WWE Removes Karrion Kross’ Theme Song From Spotify; Here’s What It Might Mean

Karrion Kross was handpicked by WWE to be featured in its second-biggest annual premium live event this year. But it appears that was the 40-year-old’s swansong during his current run.

At SummerSlam on August 2, Sami Zayn and Karrion Kross ended their program in a singles match to culminate their feud. The rubber bout of their trilogy had the prior stipulation that if Zayn won, Kross would have to admit he was wrong about the former Intercontinental Champion. However, if The Herald of Doomsday won, The Underdog from the Underground would have to accept that Kross was right about him.

The entire program revolved around The Doom Walker’s attempts at turning Zayn to the dark side, but failed in the end. It is debatable whether the rivalry did him any good or whether it did him more damage, as despite finally featuring in two WWE PLEs, he was made to look weak in defeat both times. And now it looks like things are going from bad to worse for the once two-time NXT Champion.

Karrion Kross Might Be On His Way Out From WWE

Fans were quick to note something WWE tends to do when it is about to release a talent; similarly, Karrion Kross’ entrance music was removed from Spotify. On X/Twitter, this piece of information has been making the rounds, with many speculating about the status of The Doom Walker.

Meanwhile, his contract is reportedly already up. Both Kross and his wife, Scarlett, have been officially moved to the alumni section on the company’s official website. However, what has got fans wondering was the 40-year-old’s comments on The Angle Podcast a few days ago. According to him, the online rumors were “not true,” and he hopes to be back on Monday Night RAW alongside Scarlett.

In August 2022, Karrion Kross returned to WWE, kickstarting his second run. The once promising NXT stalwart was viewed as the next breakout star, as he was plunged into a program with Drew McIntyre right out of the gate. The Stamford-based promotion also teased a future showdown between Kross and Roman Reigns.

However, all of that eventually fizzled out until he garnered a noteworthy fan following this year. There is a large section of the WWE faithful who would like to see him succeed. Whether he gets the opportunity or not bears watching.
