WWE Remain Undecided On Winner Of Cody Rhodes Vs. Roman Reigns

Cody Rhodes & Roman Reigns

At WrestleMania 39 Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes will meet in what is one of the biggest matches of their respective careers.

For Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Reigns, the match represents a chance to add to his record-breaking World Title reign, while Cody Rhodes is powered by the desire to win the title that eluded his famous father.

While many fans believe that the American Nightmare will be the one to triumph, finally taking his place at WWE’s top table, it appears things aren’t that quite cut and dried. The company is seemingly yet to decide who will walk out of SoFi Stadium with the gold.

A new report from Wrestle Votes via GiveMeSport stated that Reigns could be set for a lengthy break following WrestleMania which could even last until SummerSlam.

“I can imagine there’s probably a significant break, at least a month even longer, until there’s a major show that requires Roman Reigns. You may not see him until SummerSlam though. He’ll be away for a little bit.”

Perhaps more interestingly, this report came with a caveat. Reigns’ potential break is dependent on if and when he loses the World Championship.

“Adding to this: I’m told this is contingent on if / when Reigns eventually loses the titles. As of now, those plans are not certain.”

Roman Reigns Takes Aim At Cody Rhodes Over AEW Failure

On the March 20th episode of Monday Night Raw, Reigns and Rhodes again came face-to-face. In the segment, Rhodes questioned Reigns over why he described him as a problem before the Tribal Chief fired back at Rhodes over his failures in WWE and AEW, claiming he ran away from his own promotion after failing to get over.
