Jey Uso has chronicled his journey to the main event of SummerSlam.
In a video posted to WWE’s YouTube Channel, the series of events focuses on how the former Bloodline member is preparing for the biggest match of his life against Roman Reigns, beginning 3 days prior and ending as Jey walks through the curtain to make his entrance, promising that he will give everything he has in the match.
The start of preparation begins at the challenger’s house, where Jey is seen working out and discussing what it was like being in the ring with Reigns in their first encounter. Jey’s son Jeyce then enters the room, predicting that “Uncle Joe” will be victorious at SummerSlam.
The video then cuts to Uso cooking meat on the BBQ, recalling how the grill would always come out when Yokozuna came to visit. In the final section which is filmed at his house, the former Tag Team Champion told the stories behind his tattoos, including one that is a tribute to Umaga.
The final portion of the chronicle sees Jey Uso arrive in Detroit for the big match, revealing that this is the first time he is on one of the commemorative chairs as an individual and not as a tag team.
Jey Uso Betrayed At WWE SummerSlam
Just as it looked like a new Tribal Chief was going to be crowned, Uso was pulled out of the ring at the last second by a hooded figure. The mystery attacker was revealed to be his brother Jimmy, who was pivotal in Reigns walking out with the title.
Proud of the actions that took place at Ford Field, both Reigns and Jimmy Uso will be present on SmackDown as part of a “Hail to the Chief” segment, where Uso will officially acknowledge the Head of the Table.
