Rhea Ripley will defend her RAW Women’s Championship against Charlotte at WWE Money In The Bank on July 18th.
The announcement was made on the June 21st episode of Monday Night RAW as Sonya Deville and Adam Pearce looked to address the events from Hell In A Cell the night before.
At Hell In A Cell Ripley and Flair clashed for the title, but with Flair seemingly about to take a big step towards victory, Ripley got herself disqualified. This meant that while she officially lost the match, she retained her title as she was never pinned and didn’t submit.
On RAW, Ripley suggested that she had only broken the rules in the same way that Flair had done on numerous occasions throughout her career. This brought out Charlotte who actually praised Ripley for using her intelligence to keep hold of her championship.
As the war of words continued, Deville said that she was taking Flair’s words to mean she was asking for a rematch, so promptly granted her one.
