The latest episode of WWE RAW, dated June 30, 2025, saw some huge matches being confirmed, Liv Morgan being officially replaced within The Judgment Day, and CM Punk teasing a new feud, among other things.
One injured star also returned on the show with a massive title change taking place as well. Overall, RAW was on fire this week. It certainly made the job of picking out the winners and losers from the episode harder than ever, but hey, that’s what you’re here for.
Let’s take a look at the winners and losers from WWE RAW, dated June 30, 2025.
#4. Winner: The Judgment Day storyline keeps getting better
The Judgment Day story is everything The Bloodline is not in WWE at this point. They have a developing storyline with all the characters playing very important roles and ensuring an endpoint. Finn Balor and JD McDonagh won the world tag team titles from The New Day, ending their disappointing run with the gold (more on that later). Additionally, Balor took advantage of an absent Liv Morgan and got the rest of the group to agree to making Roxanne Perez a permanent member of the stable.
Perez and Raquel Rodriguez are now the women’s tag team champions, and we all know where the rest of the story is going. Honestly, the patient buildup is quite worth the wait at this point.
Balor also cheekily sent a message to Liv Morgan.
#3. Loser: Speaking of worth the wait…
We waited and we waited and then we waited some more, but The New Day’s world tag team title never took off. Fans were impatiently waiting for what the future held for Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods after their jaw-dropping heel turn during their 10th anniversary. Unfortunately, the massive heel turn and the world tag title win did not go anywhere, with them losing the belts on the latest episode of WWE RAW.
One can only hope that they have a better trajectory after losing the titles. Big E, however, thoroughly enjoyed what he saw.
#2. Winner and Loser: Rhea Ripley is main eventing again…but should she be?
Rhea Ripley is once again in the main event of another PLE. To start WWE RAW this week, she confronted IYO SKY, the women’s world champion. Rather, the latter confronted her. While Ripley was going to talk about her journey back to the top, now that The Judgment Day was behind her, SKY interfered and challenged her to a match.
The stars will face off at Evolution 2 in a world title match.
But the question that arises from here is…did she need to be in them match? From a storyline point of view, the match against Sky makes little sense. There are a lot of top contenders on the roster, the foremost of whom is Asuka. There are some other great stories that can be told with Ripley being in the picture all the time.
#1. Winner: CM Punk teases a new feud, and oh boy, is it special!!!
CM Punk came out to confront Seth Rollins on WWE RAW. The Visionary was out to have a conversation with Gunther. Punk coming out for revenge from Rollins led to the latter fleeing the scene. However, Punk then had a small confrontation with The Ring General.
This was surely setting up a match between the stars for a later date, perhaps SummerSlam, and it’s safe to say we are seated.
A Punk-Gunther feud will be epic, not just for the wrestling, but also for the promo battles that will follow on WWE RAW.
