It has recently been rumoured that a pair of former WWE Raw Tag Team Champions is set to split up in the near future.
Chad Gable and Otis first began teaming together when Gable opened the Alpha Academy back in November 2020. Since then, the pair have become an entertaining part of the red brand and achieved their biggest win to date when they defeated RK-Bro’s Randy Orton and Riddle for the Raw Tag Titles in January 2022.
In recent weeks, Maximum Male Models have shown an interest in recruiting Otis and have even interfered in matches on his behalf.
Meanwhile, Gable’s most recent bout saw him taking on Royal Rumble winner Cody Rhodes in a match that has been a big hit with fans.
According to a new report from WRKD Wrestling, this could show the direction of travel for both men, with Otis taking on a comedic role in Maximum Male Models, while Gable goes the opposite route to become a more serious singles competitor.
However, the real-life best friends are said to be unsure about a split.
“There have been discussions of pushing Chad Gable as more of a serious singles star while moving Otis to Maximum Male Models in a comedy role. Gable and Otis are on the fence about splitting up due to their long time, close friendship.”

Cody Rhodes wanted to take Chad Gable from WWE to AEW
WRKD Wrestling also recently reported that the reason Rhodes gave Gable a “big showing” is because he has been a fan for years, and even wanted to recruit him for AEW when he was an EVP in the company.
Cody Rhodes wants Chad Gable to have a “big showing” during their Raw match tonight, as Rhodes has been a fan of him and was one of the unnamed AEW talents hoping to eventually bring Gable to the company, as reported by Meltzer in 2021.
