WWE Raw Star Heading To SmackDown Following Jey Uso Switch

Jey Uso arrives on WWE Raw

Jey Uso moving to WWE Raw will have implications for the SmackDown roster.

At Payback, Cody Rhodes was a special guest on the Grayson Waller Effect, and he arrived with some big news. The American Nightmare explained that he’d used any political power he had to broker a move for Jey Uso to Monday Night Raw.

Off the back of being betrayed by his brother Jimmy at SummerSlam during his match with Roman Reigns, Jey said he was done with The Bloodline, SmackDown, and WWE and walked out through the crowd on the August 11th episode of SmackDown.

While his exit from WWE was only part of a storyline, it did create very real questions over what comes next. The fact that Jey is now on Raw, has only added to the intrigue.

What Happens To SmackDown Now Jey Uso Is On Raw?

On the September 4th episode of Raw, Jey said he’d reached a breaking point working with his family on SmackDown, revealing that Rhodes called him about joining the red brand.

This brought out Sami Zayn who said he was proud of the star and the pair reunited, embracing in the ring. However, not everyone was pleased to see him. As the pair left, Jey was stared down by Drew McIntyre as he and Matt Riddle made their way to the ring for their match.

Later in the show, Adam Pearce explained SmackDown would receive “trade compensation” for Jey’s move. Considering McIntyre’s reaction, some have speculated that the Scottish star could be heading back to Friday nights. In a recent interview, SmackDown star Grayson Waller has declared that he doesn’t want Cody Rhodes to switch brands.

In a new update by Fightful Select on October 14th, it is revealed that WWE will address the trade situation regarding Jey Uso very shortly.
