WWE Raw Star Claims They Haven’t Retired

Titus O'Neil, MVP and The Hurt Business on WWE Raw

Despite not having wrestled since July, MVP believes he still has “a few left” in him.

Since the star returned to WWE in 2020, he has been winding down his in-ring career, instead focussing on managing first The Hurt Business and now Omos.

His last match so far took place on the July 22nd edition of Raw when he teamed up with the Nigerian Giant to take on The Street Profits. That bout ended in disqualification after The Usos attacked Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford midway through.

While he hasn’t gotten in the ring since, MVP has told Chris Van Vliet that he hasn’t quite hung up his boots yet.

“I’ve got a few left. I haven’t hung the boots up yet.

“I’m not as eager to climb into the ring as I once was, but when necessary, I’m still capable.”

The former United States Champion went on to explain that he still takes good care of himself, although he has had to change his routines as he gets older.

“I take pretty good care of myself and I try to stay active, I still do Brazilian jiu-jitsu, but as I’ve gotten older, my workouts have changed.

“I don’t do regular bodybuilder workouts. Now, I try to do workouts that are more about function and movement.

“I am coming into my age and embracing my mortality.”

Brock Lesnar defeated Omos at WWE WrestleMania 39

MVP accompanied Omos to the ring at WrestleMania 39 as the star took part in a true clash of the titans when he battled Brock Lesnar.

Although the giant was able to use his size to dominate The Beast Incarnate for much of the short match, Lesnar found an opening and took him to Suplex City before ending things with a massive F-5 for the pinfall victory.
