With Elimination Chamber now in the history books, all WWE eyes have turned to WrestleMania 39.
At Elimination Chamber, Edge teamed with his wife Beth Phoenix to see off the Judgment Day duo of Finn Balor and Rhea Ripley. While Ripley will now turn her attention to Charlotte Flair and the SmackDown Women’s Title, there have been rumours that the feud between Edge and Balor will continue.
However, on Raw, Edge will answer Austin Theory’s United States Open Challenge.
Theory retained the title inside Elimination Chamber, but only with a large helping hand from Logan Paul who attacked Seth Rollins. It has long been rumoured that Rollins and Paul will meet at WrestleMania. On Raw, Rollins will be in action against The Miz. Will Logan Paul make his presence felt once more?
The only other match announced in advance will see Mustafa Ali take on Dolph Ziggler.
There have also been reports that Trish Status could be appearing on the show. A recent appearance from the WWE Hall of Famer was canceled, but it has been reported that the angle is far from dead.
WWE Raw Results
- Sami Zayn opens the show and gets another long ovation. Says that he regrets not winning at Elimination Chamber. Calls out Kevin Owens. Zayn says they should take down The Bloodline together. Owens responds by saying that he got involved at Elimination Chamber. Walks out on Zayn, says that if he wants help taking out The Bloodline he should “talk to his buddy Jey.”
- As Zayn was heading back up the ramp he was attacked by Baron Corbin. Corbin trash-talks Zayn and his family, and Adam Pearce makes the match. Zayn wins.
- Mustafa Ali def Dolph Ziggler
- During a backstage interview, Maryse gives The Miz an envelope. He says he’ll reveal what it says next week.
- Cody Rhodes promo – Interrupted by Paul Heyman backstage in a neck brace. Heyman questioned whether Rhodes was willing to make the sacrifices necessary to become champion. Mentioned his brother Dustin Rhodes saying their father was never home. Heyman suggested he would “keep his wife warm” while Rhodes was away. Rhodes praised Reigns and promised to win to finish his story.
- Asuka def Nikki Cross – Bianca Belair confronts Asuka from ringside. Belair backs away as blood liquid comes from Asuka’s mouth
- MVP on behalf of Omos challenges Brock Lesnar to a match at WrestleMania.
- Seth Rollins def The Miz
- Ding Dong Hello with Bayley and Damage CTRL. The segment was interrupted by Becky Lynch. The Man said that she wanted to be Women’s Tag Team Champion and when Bayley said she had no friends she brought out Lita. The legend and The Man laid down a challenge for the titles and Bayley accepted on the behalf of Dakota Kai and IYO SKY.
- Candice LeRae interview about Johnny Gargano, chases after Nikki Cross, Scottish star whispers that she feels alone.
- Bronson Reed def Chad Gable. Otis distracted by Maxxine Dupri on the outside, distraction helps Reed win.
- Elias promo interrupted by Bobby Lashley, All-Mighty sends warning to WWE locker room and Bray Wyatt.
- Austin Theory retains United States Title with win over Edge, via helping hand from Finn Balor. Irish star beats down Edge after the match.
