Raw

"Worst Raw" currently trending after post-Mania episode

It appears that a portion of the WWE Universe was unimpressed with the Raw after WrestleMania this evening, as “Worst Raw” is currently a trending topic on Twitter. This occurred not long after Vince McMahon was quoted saying his return to WWE’s Chairman position comes along with some influence on the creative side of things.

Reflecting on how things played out this evening, it’s understandable why some fans may feel unsatisfied with the show. In total, only five matches took place tonight, two of which were forgettable squash matches. It’s also worth noting that the main event that was hyped up throughout the show ended up being a swerve, which may have deflated viewers looking forward to an epic tag team match of Cody Rhodes & Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns & Solo Sikoa.

You can see some of the reactions from the WWE Universe below:

Raquel Gonzalez

Raquel Rodriguez & Liv Morgan confident following WWE Raw win

As noted in our earlier coverage, a #1 contenders match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships took place this evening, with Raquel Rodriguez & Liv Morgan managing to defeat Damage CTRL’s Dakota Kai & Iyo Sky to earn their place at the front of the line. Byron Saxton caught up with the two victorious women backstage and asked them how they were feeling knowing they challenge Lita & Becky Lynch for the titles next week. Raquel responded first, saying she was riding high after such an eventful weekend for her and Liv.

We’re finally clicking as a team and I think the WWE Universe is noticing it, and we’re just rolling with it. I mean, look at it, Monday Night Raw after ‘Mania?!”

Liv was still surprised they ended up winning their match on Raw, considering they are SmackDown stars. And even though they didn’t claim the victory at ‘Mania, she feels this next challenge will end a bit differently.

We don’t even go here, Byron! It’s crazy. I knew for some reason that after last night, for whatever reason, our story just wasn’t done. We might not have won the showcase, but we’re going to win those titles!

Raw

Things to look forward to on next week's Raw...

That’s all she wrote, folks! WrestleMania weekend is coming to a definitive end, and with it, a shocking Raw after WrestleMania is behind us. After tonight, we now know a few of the matches set for next week’s episode. I think it would also be safe to say that the Cody Rhodes – Brock Lesnar story that’s starting to bubble up will also be a big focus of next week’s show.

The current lineup for the 4/10 WWE Raw:

  • The Miz vs. Riddle
  • WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships: Lita & Becky Lynch (c) vs. Raquel Rodriguez & Liv Morgan
  • More on the developing Cody Rhodes – Brock Lesnar story
Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar absolutely decimates Cody Rhodes

Brock Lesnar continued his attack on Rhodes for several minutes, hitting him with boots to the face and German suplexes. He then tossed him outside the ring and spiked his shoulder into Cody’s abdomen, and rammed him into the barricade. He vertically suplexes him right over the top of the barricade and then whacked him with a steel chair.

But Brock is only getting started – he pulls apart the steel ring steps and rams the top portion into Rhodes’ face. Cody is holding his ribs as Brock picks him up and effortlessly F-5s him through the announce table. Adam Pearce comes down in an attempt to help, but Brock runs him off. “The Beast Incarnate” then throws Cody back inside the ring. Oh my God, Brock F-5s Cody right into the steel ring steps, then adds insult to injury by standing over his incapacitated body.

It appears that Brock is finished with the attack, but in typical Lesnar fashion, he hesitates and then turns around to finish the job. Brock with two reverberating chairs to Cody’s back. He then shoves the chair into Cody’s neck while he screams in his face. The crowd looks on in terror as the doctors and producers tend to Cody Rhodes. Raw goes off the air with Brock Lesnar, returning from the backstage area and giving the cameras the middle finger.

Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar turns on Cody Rhodes!!!

What was expected to be a tag team match main event had a shocking twist before the bell even rang. Brock Lesnar turned on his scheduled partner, Cody Rhodes, delivering several F-5s as The Bloodline left the ring.

Bad Bunny

Update on Bad Bunny

Back from a commercial, we see a replay of what happened between Bad Bunny and The Judgment Day earlier tonight. Corey Graves explains that there are varying reports about Bunny’s status in the hospital now, with the worst-case scenario being he’s separated his shoulder.

Trish Stratus, Becky Lynch, and Lita are backstage speaking with Byron Saxton. Trish says that defeating Damage CTRL was amazing, while Lita says that the two of them might be hanging out around WWE for awhile now. Becky says they’re riding high as the Women’s Tag Team Champion, and they can’t think of a better way to cap off their recent successes than defeating Liv and Raquel next week.

Next week, Riddle will have a return match against The Miz!

Riddle

Riddle lays out The Miz

Riddle is in the ring as the crowd gives him deafening “Bro!” chants. He asks the crowd if they missed him, which they confirm, but that’s right when Miz jumps him. Riddle comes back with a ripcord knee and the Broderick to lay him out.

The main event of Roman Reigns & Solo Sikoa vs. Cody Rhodes & Brock Lesnar is coming up shortly!

Riddle

Matt Riddle IS BACK!!!

Back from the break, WWE touts some of the success from their WrestleMania weekend.

The Miz is in the middle of the ring, telling the fans that all the surprises were directed at him this weekend. He had a total of 4 matches because Snoop Dogg forced him to battle Pat McAfee, George Kittle, Shane McMahon, & Snoop Dogg. Miz teases him about the People’s Elbow he delivered as the crowd laughs along.

Miz says no more surprises, but guess what?! RIDDLE IS HERE!!!

Raquel Gonzalez

Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez earn a Women's Tag Team Title shot

During the break, the bout continued on as it had early on – neither team has a clear advantage here. Liv and Iyo trade reversals until Dakota tags in and starts maintaining control for her team. A running pump kick in the corner grants Dakota another two count. She tags her partner back in, and Iyo hits a body slam on Liv. However, Liv starts making a comeback! She sends Iyo and Dakota out of the ring, but just before she is able to tag in Raquel, Iyo shows back up and cuts off the tag. Springboard dropkick from Iyo to Liv!

Back to fullscreen, we see a running uppercut in the corner from Iyo. Liv tries fighting back with strikes to the abdomen, followed by a codebreaker to ground Sky. Rodriguez just made it back to the apron, allowing Rodriguez to make it back into the match. A fallaway slam sends Dakota across the ring, followed by a twisting elbow drop off the second rope. Damage CTRL manages to tag in, but Raquel just picks up Dakota and lawn-darts her right into Iyo. A shoulder tackle from Raquel also sends Dakota into Iyo, knocking her off the apron.

Raquel nails the Tejana bomb, followed by Liv’s ObLIVion for the victory! We have new #1 contenders, folks. Next week, Lita & Becky Lynch defend against Raquel & Liv.

The Miz is coming up next!

Liv Morgan

Raquel Rodriguez & Liv Morgan vs. Dakota Kai & Iyo Sky

The respective teams make their way down to the ring.

As we get started, Raquel and Dakota start things out. These once-best friends don’t waste any time. Rodriguez with a body slam and a stretch muffler. Liv comes in not long after with a knee to Dakota. Kai meets her with a running kick but then gets a backstabber. Iyo tags in, bringing Liv down with a dropkick. Dakota and Iyo end up outside the ring, allowing Raquel and Liv to do their tandem maneuver of Raquel powerbombing her teammate into Damage CTRL. We head into a picture-in-picture break.

Raquel Gonzalez

Women's Tag Team Championships #1 Contender's Match

We’ve got a high-stakes tag team match coming up next! Raquel Rodriguez & Liv Morgan will face Damage CTRL’s Dakota Kai & Iyo Sky, with the winners receiving a future Women’s Tag Team Championship match against Lita and Becky Lynch.

Bianca Belaire

Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley come face-to-face

Bianca Belair comes down to the ring with a warm reception from the audience. She tells them that they’re right – she’s still the Raw Women’s Champion. She steps into the ring with only the best, including Asuka. “The Empress of Tomorrow” pushed her to her very limits, but that will only make her that much better.

Suddenly, Rhea Ripley’s music plays, and she starts sauntering down to the ring. Rhea says that Bianca might call herself the EST of WWE, but she’s actually the lucki-est person in WWE because she picked Charlotte instead of Belair. She promises Belair that, one day, they will finally face another, and when they do, she will take her down.

Belair says Rhea made the decision she did for a reason. Since she won the SD Women’s Title, she must focus on that now. She tells her that, one day, when she’s ready, they will truly find out who is the best of the best. This prompts Rhea to exit, but here come Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez for an upcoming tag team match!

Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa prepare for the main event

Back from the commercial, Roman is backstage and asks Heyman if The Usos have been taken care of. He confirms that they’ve been sent to the private jet. He then asks how this could happen. Heyman explains that the stipulation didn’t apply to him since their match last year at SummerSlam cut him off from ever challenging for the titles again.

Roman says it’s fine because he will smash Brock Lesnar just like he smashed Cody Rhodes last night. After that, he’ll tag in Solo Sikoa so he can get some, too.

Bobby Lashley

Bobby Lashley vs. Mustafa Ali

Off the bat, Ali actually evades “The All Mighty” and connects with a kick. But that’s all he gets in – Bobby with a clothesline and The Hurt Lock for the victory.

Up next is the Raw Women’s Champion, Bianca Belair!

Bobby Lashley

Bobby Lashley forces Ali into a match

We’ve returned from break, and inside the ring, Seth prepares to speak as the audience continues singing his theme song. They just keep going and going! And that’s all Seth wanted tonight – he heads up the ramp and exits.

Backstage, Cathy Kelly is now catching up with Bobby Lashley. Lashley says that winning the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal was nice, but he was disappointed he didn’t get to wrestle at ‘Mania this year. Bronson Reed shows up, saying he might be a good pupil for Lashley because he has already taught him how to lose. That way, one day, the pupil can master the teacher. Lashley wants to fight but Reed says not for tonight.

Ali shows up out of nowhere, saying Lashley needs to think more positive-Ali because that will change his perspective. Don’t take no for an answer! That’s when Bobby says he’s right, which is why he’s going to force him down to the ring for a match.

Seth Rollins

It's time for some Seth Freakin' Rollins!

We see a recap of the Logan Paul vs. Seth Rollins match this weekend at WrestleMania. Cath Kelly then interviews Seth Rollins, saying he is on cloud 9 since he had such a successful ‘Mania weekend. He sent Logan Paul back to Social Media land!

But Rollins feels like something is off, which must be the fact that he’s not where the party is. The part is where the fans are, so he’s headed down to the ring!

We’re off to another commercial break. Stay tuned 😊

Kevin OWens

KO and Zayn pull out the victory

During the break, the Profits have maintained control with various strikes and holds. Dawkins has a headlock on Owens, but some counter elbows to the gut push him away. Owens tries to come back but is hit with a standing dropkick that puts him back down. He tries again to start inching towards his corner, nailing a DDT on Dawkins. Before KO can make it, Ford gets in and cuts him off from that side of the ring.

We return from a commercial break with Kevin and Ford exchanging a series of punches. Owens avoids a spinning splash in the corner, finally allowing him to tag Zayn in. Sami flies off the top ropes with a crossbody, getting a two count for his efforts. Sami with a chop and a wrist lock that turns into a tornado DDT off the ropes. He’s not finished there! Zayn dives with a swanton over the top ropes, taking out both of The Profits. He climbs to the top rope, but Montez Ford meets him there and tries to stop him. No, Sami reverses with a sunset flip powerbomb for a close two count!

Ford gets an enziguri on Zayn before tagging in his partner, Dawkins. Angelo comes in strong, too, hitting the tag champs with multiple strikes before returning to his partner. Ford and Dawkins with a tandem, super blockbuster! Kevin had to break up the count at the last second! Zayn manages to hit an exploder suplex in the corner on Ford. He tags Owens in, who uses his signature cannonball and a Swanton bomb to get another two count. This time, Dawkins had to help his team by breaking it up!

Owens and Zayn make their way to the outside of the ring, but Ford flies over the ropes with his own swanton on his opponents. Owens avoids the frog splash and delivers a stunner. It’s followed up by a Helluva kick from Sami for the three count! KO and Sami did it!

Sami Zayn

Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn vs, The Street Profits

Dawkins and Zayn start out, reversing hold after hold. Zayn with an arm drag that finally floors Dawkins. Angelo comes back with a shoulder tackle but, yet again, gets two more arm drags. Zayn pulls him into his team’s corner using an armlock. Owens is in, using two sentons to get the first two count of the match. Another senton! Zayn gets tagged in and forearms Dawkins, but Ford sneaks in a tag, and it gives the Profits control.

Zayn with a big back body drop to come back, gets another two. Owens is tagged back in, using clubby blows and a backbreaker for another two. For slides out of the ring and then hits Owens in the head with an enziguri. Ford and Dawkins exchange rapid tags, trading who delivers offense and attempts a pin. We’re headed to another picture-in-picture break.

MontezFord

The Street Profits want the smoke!

Montez Ford gets on the mic and gives KO and Sami a proper introduction, adding that they are dedicating a toast to the team. Montez agrees that they deserve the title win, but The Profits won at WrestleMania too. Dawkins and Ford want a shot at those Tag Team Championships tonight! The Street Profits tell them they want the smoke, and it appears that’s exactly what will happen after the next commercial break!

Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens vs. The Street Profits is on the way…

Sami Zayn

Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens celebrate the tag team title win in their own way

Back from the break, we see a replay of the drama that unfolded between Bad Bunny and The Judgment Day moments ago. Backstage, Damian Priest is confronted by Adam Pearce, but he tells Pearce that if he really had an issue with Bunny, then they would know it.

KO and Sami Zayn come to the ring, smiling big with their Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships. The crowd instantly starts the chant “You deserve it!” That’s when Kevin says they do deserve it, but the fans deserve it too. “Ole! Ole! Ole!” chants start up as Sami prepares to speak. He reflects on his wild year that started with his match against Johnny Knoxville at WrestleMania, leading up to being the main event at WrestleMania. Zayn thanks the crowd and then says it’s time for them to celebrate!

Kevin wants their celebration to be an open challenge, which inspires none other than The Street Profits to come down to the ring. Are we going to see The Street Profits vs. KO & Zayn?

Kevin OWens

Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn are out next!

We’re about to see the new Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions following their victory over The Usos at WrestleMania 39!

Austin Theory

Austin Theory vs. Rey Mysterio

Right off the bat, Theory gets the advantage as we head into a commercial break. It’s a picture-in-picture break, so we can keep up with the ongoing action. Theory remains in control through essentially the entire break, rolling Rey into a seated headlock as we return to fullscreen. Rey is tossed into the ring post shoulder-first. Theory then perches Rey on the top rope and tries to follow up, but an elbow to Theory’s jaw pushes him away. Flying crossbody from Rey gives him a two-count.

Theory halts the momentum with a hard elbow to Rey’s jaw. Keeping on him, Theory stays on him with another hold, but Rey makes it over to the ropes and delivers a tornado DDT. “The biggest little man” then drop toeholds Theory into the bottom turnbuckle, but as he climbs the ropes, Theory meets him there. Rey can still connect with the seated senton and a springboard crossbody for yet another 2. Rey with mounted punches on Theory in one corner, but as he tries it again in the opposite corner, he’s reversed into a spin-out slam into the mat.

Rey escapes from the shoulders of Theory and gives him a head scissors into the ropes, setting him up for the 619. As Rey runs the ropes, Theory hops up and nails him with a lariat. Dominik and The Judgment Day are here! Theory uses the momentary distraction to hit the A-Town Down for the win.

Before they can even announce the winner, Dom goes on the attack, stomping a mudhole in Rey. He sees Bad Bunny at ringside and approaches him. They exchange words in Spanish until Dom surprises him with an attempt at a punch. Bunny reverses it with a punch to Dom’s face. Priest grabs Bunny and tosses him from the crowd onto the floor. He starts battling with Priest and Dom, but there’s no way he can ward off both men. Priest takes apart the announce table and spikes Bunny into the announce table with a chokeslam. The Judgment Day slowly exit the arena while medical staff attends to Bunny.

Rey Mysterio

Rey Mysterio address the WWE Raw crowd

Rey comes down to the ring and says it’s been an emotional week. He got inducted into the Hall of Fame, and if it weren’t for the WWE fans, he wouldn’t have ever made it to where he is today. He thanks them and thanks Bad Bunny before Austin Theory’s music hits, and he makes his way out to the ramp.

Theory tells Rey that they both deserve respect for doing exactly what they said they would do at ‘Mania. Theory says just like the WWE Universe didn’t believe in him, Dominik didn’t believe in Rey. Theory says he thought he would get eaten alive by the WWE Universe, but he doesn’t feel it. He’s on top of the world, and he can’t be touched.

The crowd chants for John Cena, but Theory tells them to keep trying ’cause he’s not around. “He’s a part-timer,” he says. Theory asks why the fans don’t cheer for him like they do for Cena, but they do right after. Theory says he wants to add Rey to his collection of fallen legends, but Rey says all he will collect is his teeth after a 6-1-9.

They go one-on-one next!

Bad Bunny

Bad Bunny is interviewed

Following a recap of the 2023 WWE Hall of Fame, we see how WrestleMania 39 dominated the headlines over the weekend.

Back at ringside, Cathy Kelly welcomes Bad Bunny to Raw. Bunny says hello to Los Angeles and says he’s hyped to host Backlash in Puerto Rico. Tonight, he simply wants to enjoy Raw like a fan. “See you in Puerto Rico,” he finishes.

Here comes Rey Mysterio!

Jey Uso

The Usos attempt to speak to Roman Reigns

Backstage, The Usos are walking down a hallway. They knock on Roman’s door and get greeted by Paul Heyman. Jimmy tells Paul they need to talk to Roman, but Paul says Solo and Roman need to go over strategy for tonight’s upcoming tag team match.

Heyman tells The Usos that things will be okay without them this evening so that they can take a headstart to the private jet. But as Paul comes back into Roman’s dressing room, he says, “I took care of it, Tribal Chief.” Are The Usos being pushed out of The Bloodline following their WrestleMania loss?

Omos

Omos vs. Elias

Elias comes down to the ring. This one looks like it’s going to be a squash – Elias gets hit with a clothesline and two body slams. The Nigerian Giant stays on him with a splash in the corner turnbuckles. Omos keeps posing in between moves, roaring out with intensity. One double choke bomb later, Omos wins this quick bout.

Poor Elias, man. Where is Ezekiel or his other relatives when you need ’em?

Omos

The Nigerian Giant makes his entrance

Here comes Omos, accompanied by MVP!

Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar accepts the challenge

Brock is cackling as he comes out in his cowboy attire. Graves points out how the stipulation wouldn’t apply to Brock because he’s already lost the opportunity to challenge Roman following his loss at SummerSlam next year. Brock embraces Cody, and they look hyped up! Roman and Solo look ticked off, slowly exiting the ring.

It appears Cody Rhodes & Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns & Solo Sikoa will be our main event this evening!

Cody Rhodes

Cody Rhodes confronts Roman Reigns

The crowd is very much behind Cody tonight, chanting his name as he prepares to speak. Cody tells Roman that he knows what he wants to talk about. Today is much different than he anticipated because he foresaw himself winning the big one at ‘Mania. He says that he will acknowledge that last night at ‘Mania, Roman was the better competitor.

Cody says that Roman knows he has barely skidded by in a lot of matches because of The Bloodline’s help, but last night was different. “I had you,” Cody says. He says there is one thing he wants to talk about: one word. The crowd chants rematch before Cody echoes them. They’re all for the idea in Los Angeles!

Paul Heyman grabs the microphone and asks Cody when he would like the hypothetical rematch, with Cody saying he wants it tonight! The crowd goes wild. Roman rejects the idea. He doesn’t want to give him a rematch tonight or ever. According to Heyman, they call the shots because they’re on the island of relevancy. Rhodes asks Paul if he thinks he’s in a normal mood tonight. Cody knows how tough Roman is, but if he won’t accept a title match, what if they do a tag team match? Solo Sikoa & Roman vs. Cody and a partner of his choosing. Roman consults Heyman, eventually coming to the conclusion that they agree to the tag match. Two stipulations are attached, though: it has to be someone who wrestled at ‘Mania, and if Cody’s team loses, the person who chooses to tag with Cody will never get another shot at the Undisputed WWE Universal Title.

Brock Lesnar comes out!!!

Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns comments on his WrestleMania 39 win

Roman Reigns makes his way down to the ring accompanied by only Solo Sikoa and Paul Heyman tonight. He holds up the Undisputed WWE Universal titles while pyro goes off. As his theme music comes to an end, the crowd shouts out their boos to “The Tribal Chief.”

Heyman hands Roman the microphone, but before he can speak, boos and “Roman sucks!” chants interrupt him. Eventually, Roman speaks up and says that after last night’s performance, he wants to do his catchphrase a certain way. “Hollywood, acknowledge me!” Suddenly, Cody Rhodes’ theme music plays; here comes “The American Nightmare!”

Triple H

Triple H opens Raw with a statement

Triple H poses a bit as the crowd roars in celebration. He grabs the microphone and says, “Welcome to Monday Night Raw!” He says he’s still on a high from this weekend, and the audience’s reception just made it even better. Hunter is pleased with how ‘Mania turned out, saying it lived up to being “The Grandest Stage of them All.” It started as one man’s vision, and 40 years later, it’s become larger than life.

Triple H is here to say, “Thank you.” Thank you to every person who has laid their bodies on the line every week, and thank you to everyone else working on the WWE team.  Hunter says that at SoFi stadium, when he actually walked in and saw the set, his breath was taken away. Lastly, he wants to thank all of the fans for their support, inspiring a “Triple H” chant.

On a day when WWE dominates the news with its merger with UFC, Hunter wants to emphasize that the company the fans know is going nowhere. The same WWE we’ve always known will remain. He says we are WWE. To cap off his speech, Triple H introduces Roman Reigns as boos ring out over the crowd.

Raw

What awaits the WWE Universe at the Raw after WrestleMania

It’s almost time, folks! We’re just minutes away from the Raw after WrestleMania, and with news breaking that WWE and UFC are now merging, one can predict that curious eyes will be on the red brand this evening. The only things confirmed for the show include a major announcement from Triple H and the expected WrestleMania 39 fallout stemming from the epic weekend we experienced.

Reports are also indicating some big-name stars may be returning tonight. Bad Bunny has been confirmed for the show via PWInsider, while other stars like Riddle and Randy Orton are names being thrown around about potential returns because both men were seen in Los Angeles this weekend. Could tonight be the night that the beloved RK-Bro tag team returns? Stay tuned.

Nick Khan

Nick Khan gives update on WWE - Saudi Arabia relationship

With news breaking today that WWE and UFC will be merged into a single entity, questions arose regarding how WWE’s relationship with Saudi Arabia will be handled going forward. The partnership between WWE and Saudi Arabia is set to expire in 2027, but for the time being, Khan says they are still doing everything necessary to honor their agreement with The Kingdom.

“[O]ur relationship with The Kingdom is a terrific partnership for which we’re appreciative of, and you know, nothing in terms of anyone else’s prior experience will affect that. We think that we’ve delivered the product in the way that the Kingdom wanted it delivered. We have a multiple year agreement with them in place. We’re excited to do a show — we’ll be back there May 27 for a big premium live event.“

WWE will return to Saudi Arabia on May 27th to put on the King and Queen of the Ring premium live event.

Natalya

Natalya celebrates 15 years on WWE's main roster

Natalya is one woman you could call the definition of a “veteran” on the WWE roster after achieving a Women’s Title reign, a Women’s Tag Title reign, and even a Diva’s Title reign back when the belt was still active. But perhaps most impressive is how long she’s been competing inside the squared circle.

Natalya took to Twitter earlier today and posted a message celebrating her 15-year Anniversary on the WWE main roster.

Today marks my 15 years on the WWE main roster. 15 years of doing what I love, in front of the audience I love doing it for. I learned early that real legacy isn’t counting what you got from the business, it’s knowing what you put back in—and I’ve been blessed ever since

Nattie competed at last night’s WrestleMania 39 Night Two, suffering a defeat with her tag team partner, Shotzi, against the teams of Raquel Rodriguez & Liv Morgan, Chelsea Green & Sonya Deville, and the eventual winners, Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler.

Raw

WWE Raw's first hour will be commercial free!

It was just revealed via Twitter that WWE and the USA Network will be commercial-free for the first hour of the Raw after WrestleMania! The last time they applied this to the red brand was back in January when Raw went without commercials for the first hour of the “XXX” Anniversary show.

Rumors have been swirling that Riddle may return during tonight’s episode, especially after he was spotted in Los Angeles earlier today. Bad Bunny is also reported to be returning to Raw to begin the hype for the premium live event he hosts this May, Backlash.

Luke Miller sends heartfelt tribute to his late partner

Tragic news emerged today revealing that WWE Hall of Famer Bushwhacker Butch Miller had passed away at the age of 78. Miller’s legendary tag team partner, Luke, broke the news on Facebook, writing a heartfelt tribute to the “brother” he adored.

Late last night, I lost my friend, brother and tag team partner of over 50 years with the passing of Bob “Butch” Miller. My heart goes out to his wife Helen, his lovely daughters Sharon and Kirsten and all of his grandchildren. From the early-1970s when we were young mates wrestling for John da Silva in New Zealand, my first impression of Bob “The Chest” Miller (as he was called in those days) was that he was a first-class redneck, and what bloody redneck he was! But he was also an all-around good guy and a great friend. By the time we reached our mid-20s, we found ourselves traveling the world together, from New Zealand to Australia to Malaysia, Singapore and Japan, before “invading” the North American territories in Canada and the United States as The Sheepherders. In 1988 we were in our 40s and still at the top of our game when we got a call from the offices in Connecticut with an offer to join the largest and fastest growing wrestling promotion in the world, the WWF/E- The Bushwhackers were born! As The Bushwhackers we  appeared in the largest venues in the world, in front the the biggest crowds professional wrestling had ever seen! And we were eventually honored by our fans and peers with our inclusion in the WWE Hall of Fame in 2015 and the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2020. We did it all, we saw it all, and we accomplished it all together. This past weekend in Los Angeles, Bob flew in from New Zealand to join me for Wrestlemania weekend and the related festivities, neither of us knowing it would be our last days together and his last days of life. If you were to read the story of my life it would say that I am only child, but it would be wrong. In life I had a brother and his name was Bob Miller. I love you, Bob. Until I see you again, WOOOOAHH YEEEEAAHH!

Miller had traveled to the United States to spend the weekend with Luke and attend various conventions to meet the fans. Unfortunately, it would be the last time the duo would be together, as Bob fell ill during the weekend and eventually died.

Vince McMahon

Backstage News on WWE talent meeting

As noted, a press release this morning revealed Endeavor has purchased WWE and will merge the company with UFC after a $21 billion deal. This comes just one day after WrestleMania 39, and as the WWE talent prepares for the Raw after ‘Mania, a meeting was held backstage to address the UFC and WWE merger.

According to a new report from PWInsider, those in attendance included Nick Khan, WWE CFO Frank Riddick, and Chief Human Resources Officer Suzette Ramirez-Carr, while Paul “Triple H” Levesque attended by phone. It was expressed that the WWE Board of Directors were unanimously on board with the transaction over the weekend.

Furthermore, the deal has been signed and should closed out by the end of 2023. Triple H added a thank you to all the employees that have made the deal possible and emphasized that things backstage will essentially stay the same for the time being.

WWE

WWE Hall of Famer Bushwhacker Butch passes away

Unfortunate news has emerged this evening. PWInsider broke the story that WWE Hall of Famer Bushwhacker Butch Miller passed away at age 78.

We mentioned earlier this weekend how Miller had flown from New Zealand to Los Angeles to participate in WrestleMania weekend, but while he was there, he fell ill. This progressed until last night when he died at the hospital.

Raw

Good evening, everyone!

We’re back! Man, what a weekend it was for WWE. After SmackDown, the 2023 Hall of Fame, and two thrilling nights of WrestleMania 39, we still have the highly anticipated Raw after WrestleMania taking place this evening.

Today also marks one of the biggest days in professional wrestling history, as WWE has agreed to a $21 billion merger with UFC. How this will affect the future of WWE continues to unfold, but certain higher-ups like Vince McMahon and Triple H are guaranteed to remain in power.

And it can’t be the Raw after WrestleMania without surprise returns taking place! News broke earlier today that Riddle is in Los Angeles ahead of the show, hinting that he might be making his comeback. Bad Bunny will also return to Raw this evening.
