Dominik Mysterio

Dominik Mysterio isn't surprised he won his match tonight

Tonight’s episode of Raw included a match where Dominik Mysterio, with “Mami” Rhea Ripley by his side, got to choose his opponent. It was later revealed that Akira Tozawa, who has a history of run-ins with Ripley, was the man selected to compete. Dom pulled out the win with a bit of help from his Mami, but based off his interview with Raw Talk after the show, you would assume Dom had done it all by himself.

Yeah, of course it was a successful victory. I had Mami by my side, and what else would you expect from The Judgment Day?”

Rhodes goes for the Crossrhodes but Priest battles out, which forces Rhodes to try for something else. Pedigree! Cody climbs to the top rope and jumps over Priest. Damian with a superkick for another close two. Priest nails a right hand, but then comes off the second rope and eats a superkick. Rhea Ripley distracts the referee, allowing Dom to get a cheap shot on Rhodes. Priest with the South of Heaven! It’s STILL not enough to take down Cody! Dom gets on the apron again while Priest tries for the Razor’s Edge. Rhodes shoves Priest into Dom and then delivers the Cody Cutter.

Crossrhodes follows for the win! Cody is victorious tonight! Dom gets another cheap shot on the back of Cody’s head and then runs away with Rhea and Priest up the ramp.

Cody is able to reverse momentum and deliver a delayed forward-facing suplex. Dom and Rhea Ripley are headed down to the ring.

Priest uses the distraction to give Rhodes a kick to the head. He exits to the outside and is going to wrap Cody’s legs around the ring post, but Cody kicks him off and uses a suicide dive. Dom is standing nearby, so Cody chases him down a bit and then goes back inside the ring. Flatliner from Priest!

Backstage, Cathy Kelly speaks to Natalya, asking her about the attack from Rhea Ripley last week. Nattie says that this is what she signed up for, but the biggest battle she is facing is the battle in her head. She cares less about losing and more about how she shouldn’t give up. Nattie wants Rhea to face her next week with the World Title.

We see Carmelo Hayes make his entrance. The bell rings and Balor instantly tackles Hayes down. He stomps at his face and hits a chop, then driving Melo into the corner with his shoulder. Zayn with some wound up clotheslines, followed by a lariat that floors Gunther. Out of nowhere, The Ring General puts Zayn in a sleeper hold that wears away at Sami. That invites Sami to use the swanton splash over the top rope onto Gunther. Back inside the ring, Zayn with the Exploder Suplex to Gunther in the corner. As Kaiser distracts the referee, Vinci uses the crutch to the throat of Zayn. Gunther with the Powerbomb for the victory!

Carmello Hayes

Carmelo Hayes is interviewed about his first Raw match

Backstage, Cathy Kelly asks Carmelo Hayes how he’s feeling with such a big match tonight on WWE Raw. Hayes says that Seth Rollins invited him here. That’s an honor, and Seth is a Champion he aspires to be like. If he has to go out tonight in a blaze of glory and then battle Baron Corbin on NXT, then so be it. You have to take shots to make shots, and tonight, he won’t miss.

Sami Zayn vs. Gunther is next!

Becky Lynch

The Women's Money in the Bank Summit

Becky Lynch is the last woman to come out, while the rest entered over the commercial break. Corey Graves introduces the scenario, but Bayley interrupts and says that her opponents are idiots. She reminds everyone that she is the only one in the match that has won the match in the past. She gives credit to IYO SKY, saying she might have a chance too. SKY says to let the best woman win, adding some Japanese words.

Zelina Vega says she doesn’t like that Damage CTRL has been discrediting everyone because stars like Becky Lynch, Zoey Stark, and herself are all in the match. Vega is ready to throw her flip flop and tells Bayley to keep the insults to herself. She vows to bring the briefcase back home to the LWO. Everyone starts arguing until Zoey Stark and Trish break it up. Trish says she just sees a bunch of little girls, and it’s clear to her why she was needed to save the women’s division. In fact, she’s the best to ever come out of the women’s division. She says that when she wins the briefcase this Saturday, they can all say, “Thank you, Trish,” during the historic moment.

Trish addresses Becky, saying she can’t call her a little girl or a woman because she’s “The Man.” But when it’s all said and done, she wonders if Becky will be man enough to say thank you. Becky immediately punches her, which brings everyone to blows as they start battling around the ladders. Becky tosses Trish and IYO out of the ring, and then Damage CTRL attacks Becky. Vega brings the flip flop over and starts taking Damage CTRL out with it. IYO kicks her out of the ring and then pushes Becky off of her to hit a springboard moonsault to everyone on the outside. Becky climbs to the top of the ladder and grabs the briefcase while everyone is down on the floor.

Sami Zayn

Sami Zayn wants a match against Gunther tonight

Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens confront Ludwig Kaiser and Gunther backstage, saying they don’t appreciate what they did to Matt Riddle earlier. Now, they want to do something about it! Kaiser warns them that they need to watch what they say or Gunther will demolish them like he did to Owens weeks ago. That ticks off Owens, but Zayn stands up for him and says that it was only because of the numbers game. Tonight, Zayn wants to keep the numbers game simple and have a singles match against Gunther. He agrees!

Up next will be Dominik Mysterio vs. an opponent of his choosing!

Tommaso

Tommaso Ciampa vs. The Miz never officially happens

We see a replay from before the break when Finn Balor and Seth Rollins got into another scuffle. Carmelo Hayes vs. Finn Balor is going to happen tonight! Hayes is making his WWE Raw debut!

He goes wild, slamming into in the ring apron and kicking him in the head. He suplexes Ciampa into the barricade and then mocks him by doing the same taunt Ciampa does where he pats himself on the back. Lastly, Miz delivers the Skull Crushing Finale on the floor and talks some trash before exiting the arena.

The Miz

The Miz and Tommaso Ciampa are not finished quite yet

We see a replay of what happened when Tommaso Ciampa returned last week and defeated The Miz in singles action. Earlier today, Ciampa tells Byron that The Miz never reached out with texts or phone calls when he was sidelined for months. He was warned that Miz was a user and manipulator, but he didn’t believe them. This injury was a blessing in disguise because it helped him realize that he shouldn’t be playing second fiddle.

Ciampa vs. The Miz 2 is next!

Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins gets attacked by Finn Balor once more

Seth Rollins makes his entrance and gets a long sing-a-long from the crowd. He welcomes everyone to Monday Night Rollins and then introduces the NXT Champion, Carmello Hayes, who’s sitting in the front row. Seth says he doesn’t do this kind of thing very often, but Hayes had his back at NXT and he thanks him. Rollins tells Corbin to whip up bum a*s Corbin in their NXT Title match tomorrow.

Rollins addresses his MITB title match. He mentions how he kept getting jumped by Balor last week, but the important thing is that he’s still standing. He’s tired of talking, so he wants Finn to come out right now and try to finish the job. He waits, but nobody comes out. Seth says he hands it to Finn — he is the smartest and most dangerous he’s ever been. Is he 100% right now? No, he’s not. Will he be 100% at MITB this Saturday? No. But Seth still promises that when it’s just him and Finn this Saturday, the best version of Balor is still not better than the best version of Seth.

“And that is a bitter pill that you’re going to have to swallow,” Seth tells Finn, when, suddenly, Finn rushes the ring with a steel chair. Balor kicks at Seth’s spare ribs and gets the advantage, but Rollins throws him out of the ring. They brawl on the outside until Finn throws Seth ribs-first into the steel steps and the announce table. Finn stomps on his ribs and punts them. Finn tries to grab another chair from ringside, but Hayes grabs it out of his hands and gives Seth the moment to nail a running clothesline.

FInn Balor

Finn Balor delivers a message to Seth Rollins

We see a filmed video promo from Finn Balor, who looks back at his career and how he had to relinquish the Universal Title. He says that, at his lowest point, Seth walked out and laughed in Finn’s face. That’s something he will never forget. Seth “made him” bitter, and that’s all he has now while Seth has it all. Balor says the only thing that matters to him is revenge and the World Heavyweight Championship, and this Saturday, he will take back what he deserves.

Backstage, Seth Rollins walks through the hallway and is on the way to the ring next!

Ronda Rousey

Ronda Rousey vs. Raquel Rodriguez

Before the match gets underway, we see a replay of what happened Friday on SmackDown when Liv Morgan made her return to SmackDown. Raquel Rodriguez makes her entrance next with Liv by her side. Rousey comes back with a running knee in the corner and an armbar off the ropes. Raquel gets out of a fireman’s carry and uses a shoulder tackle.

Rousey gets Raquel into an ankle lock in the center of the ring. Raquel catches Rousey in another armbar and throws her over her shoulder. She splashes Rousey in the corner and then hits a fallaway slam. She goes for the corkscrew elbow but Shayna Baszler rolls her out of the way. Liv retaliates by attacking Shayna and beating her down, but back inside the ring, Rousey ties Rodriguez into a pin and gets the pinfall for the quick win. Rousey is victorious!

The show returns with Dominik Mysterio confronting Adam Pearce, telling him he wants a match tonight to show Cody Rhodes exactly what he’s going to do at MITB. We see a video hyping up WWE MITB this weekend, with some statistics listed about the annual pay-per-view. Ronda Rousey is on the way down to the ring for her match against Raquel Rodriguez tonight!

Riddle

Riddle's challenge is accepted for MITB

We see a recap of what’s been going on between Matt Riddle and Imperium over the past few weeks, and then see the clip from earlier today when Riddle challenged Gunther to a match for the Intercontinental Championship at MITB. Byron Saxton is live backstage with Riddle right now and he asks if RIddle’s decision to challenge Gunther is a good choice when he has a hurt ankle.

Ludwig Kaiser walks up and says that Riddle got exactly what he deserved after what he did to Giovanni Vinci. He asks what makes Riddle think his amateur skills could beat someone like Gunther. Riddle starts attacking Liudwig, but Gunther comes out of nowhere and clubs Riddle down. He accepts his challenge and they leave Riddle suffering, holding his leg in pain.

Ricochet

Ricochet wins a solid match between two MITB competitors

We return with Shinsuke in control, mounting Ricochet with punches and then going for a vertical suplex. Ricochet lands on his feet, but Shinsuke elbows him and focuses on Ricochet in the corner. Ricochet kicks him away and hits a springboard lariat to bring the crowd to cheers. Punches and kicks from Ricochet follow, and then a handspring back elbow and a running shooting star press for another 2 count. Shinsuke avoids a lionsault with his knees and then uses a front-facing suplex.

Shinsuke hits a knee to the abdomen and then his inverted exploder suplex. He prepares for the Kinshasa, but Ricochet avoids it and delivers the Recoil. Nakamura meets Ricochet on the top rope with a kick, and then some running knees to the gut. Ricochet avoids the Kinshasa in spectacular fashion, moves out of some kicks, and then hits the sliced bread #2. He nails the shooting star press and has a definitive win ahead of MITB! Ricochet takes it!

They immediately exchange forearms, with Shinsuke taking control and doing the good vibrations stomp and a jumping knee for a one. Nakamura with a knee to the abdomen. He catches a kick from Ricochet and then hits a spinning back elbow. Nakamura kicks Ricochet in the mid-section to stop a head scissors attack.

Shinsuke wraps Ricochet up in the ropes and chokes him out. The two men meet on the apron and exchange big boots as Bronson Reed stands up and claps for them.

Ricochet and Nakamura trade hard punches back and forth. Shinsuke and Reed stare each other down, but Ricochet comes out of nowhere and enziguris Reed. Shinsuke also kicks Bronson. As Reed tries to get in the ring and get revenge, Shinsuke and Ricochet work together to kick him off of the apron. As he keeps trying to get in the match, the ref ejects him from ringside.

Shinsuke Nakamura

The King of Strong Style makes his entrance

We see a replay of what happened between Bronson Reed, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Ricochet last week. Here comes Nakamura! He will go to battle against Ricochet when we return from the commercial break!

Cody Rhodes

Cody Rhodes confronts Dominik Mysterio and Rhea Ripley

Dom tries to talk first, but the crowd drowns him out with their boos like they usually do. Ripley says she has it from here; she addresses Cody Rhodes. She says the crowd favorite is a wannabe and a loser who has momentum slowing down. Here comes Cody!

Rhodes says he thinks he know what Dom was trying to do. He welcomes Savanah, GA to Monday Night Raw! Rhea says that Cody can try to be a bully all she wants, but Dom is a dangerous man. Rhea tells Cody that Dom will show him just how dangerous he is when they get to MITB. Cody concedes that he’s a smart guy. Cody uses a quote from Dr. Suess and says that it’s because Dom is just a boy, a scared little boy. Dom and Rhea start exiting the arena, walking up the ramp.

Cody demands that Dom does something, telling him he can have a free shot. He wants to settle this here and now. Dom acts like he’s going to come back to the ring, but he jumps on the apron and back down while mouthing, “F*ck this.” Rhodes says it’s okay. The cheap shots have proven to be effective, but this Saturday, they will be in an entirely different body of water. Saturday, he wants to find out if Dom is even half the man his father is or is he just Mami’s little boy?

Raw

WWE Raw stars now!!!

Time to get the party started! WWE Raw starts right now!

We see a recap of how the rivalry between Dominik Mysterio and Cody Rhodes has developed over the past few weeks. The night is kicking off with Rhea Ripley and Dominik!

Kenny Omega

Hidden Easter Egg in AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door Poster

The stars of All Elite Wrestling and New Japan Pro Wrestling gave it their all last night, but it’s hard to compete with the exceptional match Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay put on for the IWGP United States Championship. And one thing fans might not know is that Omega was also featured in the main poster for the pay-per-view last night. Kevin Sullivan, who previously worked with IMPACT Wrestling, now works as a producer for AEW, and he revealed the approach they took with the imaging of the poster.

“This match is incredible. There are many layers to everything we produce, but check out this hidden gem. Our graphics team is next level.”

Liv Morgan

Liv Morgan teased she would be sidelined another 4 weeks before surprise return

Liv Morgan made a shocking return to WWE SmackDown this past Friday after being absent from the ring since May 12 when she suffered an unfortunate shoulder injury in a match against Damage CTRL. What’s amusing is that Liv Morgan was actually doing interviews last week and tried swerving fans by acting as though she still had several weeks of recovery before coming back.

I’ll probably be out for another four weeks … It’s my first injury so I was definitely very dramatic in the beginning,” Morgan laughed. “I’m not used to being hurt, I’m not used to taking time off, but I’m trying to be grateful for this time off and enjoy it while I have it because once we get going, it never stops.” (h/t Fightful)

Morgan is scheduled to reunite with her old teammate, Raquel Rodriguez to face Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler for the Undisputed Women’s Tag Team Titles at WWE Money in the Bank.

Riddle

Riddle wants an Intercontinental Title shot against Gunther at Money in the Bank

For weeks now, Matt Riddle has been crossing paths with Imperium with less-than-stellar results for everyone involved. Tension has turned to violence, as Riddle’s retaliation from a previous attack has sidelined Imperium’s Giovanni Vinci. The faction then tried to take out Riddle last week on WWE Raw to no avail. But, according to Riddle, the rivalry is far from over between him and Imperium’s leader, Gunther.

They tried to injure my ankle, and you know what? If you try to injure me, I think I’m going to take something from Gunther. I think I’m going to try to take his Intercontinental Championship. And I’m going to challenge him for the Intercontinental Championship at Money in the Bank.”

Undertaker

The Undertaker and Mick Foley re-watch their 1998 Hell in a Cell classic

Some WWE matches will forever stand the test of time. One shining example is the Hell in a Cell match between The Undertaker and Mick Foley that took place in Pittsburgh on June 28, 1998. In what was the third-ever WWE HIAC match, Foley would be thrown off of the top of the cell, as well as through the roof of the cell, to create some brutal moments that were unforgettable.

WWE reunited both WWE Hall of Famers to watch the match together on its 25th anniversary:

Bryan Danielson

Bryan Danielson has nothing but praise for Orange Cassidy

AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door was filled with several memorable matches, highlighting superstars from both companies in spectacular fashion. Bryan Danielson competed in the night’s main event, successfully defeating Kazuchika Okada in their first singles encounter. But before his highly-anticipated bout, Danielson was backstage, watching another AEW star that he’s grown fond of: Orange Cassidy.

“Orange Cassidy with the International Championship is just having this incredible run where week after week after week he has just these amazing matches and I was one of the doubters of Orange Cassidy when AEW first started. I was like, ‘Oh, I’m not sure if I like this guy.’ And then I watched him and I watched him and I watched him and I was like, ‘This guy’s fantastic!’”

Braun Strowman

Braun Strowman laments having to miss more time from pro wrestling

Late last month, former WWE Universal Champion Braun Strowman revealed that he would require a fusion neck surgery to continue his career as a pro wrestler. And though he’s glad to be heading back to the ring in due time, Strowman took to Twitter earlier today and admitted that he’s chomping at the bit waiting to return to action.

Strowman’s last match was when he teamed with Ricochet on the May 1, 2023 WWE Raw to defeat Chad Gable and Otis of Alpha Academy.

I’m not gonna lie. This is hard. I hate not being able to do what I love. Especially after it was taken away from me two years ago. Being back where I love and then again having it taken away again by things that I couldn’t control yet again is hard. I just want to wrestle!”

Raw

Current card for 6/26 WWE Raw

As we anticipate the beginning of WWE Raw, let’s take a look at everything announced for tonight’s show. Several segments and one match have been announced so far, as seen below:

  • The RAW go-home show for WWE Money In the Bank
  • Dominik Mysterio to speak on Cody Rhodes
  • WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Ronda Rousey vs. Raquel Rodriguez
  • Becky Lynch, IYO SKY, Bayley, Zelina Vega, Zoey Stark, and WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus discuss the Women’s MITB Ladder Match in the ring during a Women’s MITB Summit
  • WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins addresses being attacked by Finn Balor on WWE NXT
Raw

Good evening!

We’re hours away from another WWE Raw, and with just a few days left until Money in the Bank, what will be in store for the superstars of the red brand? So far, it’s been advertised that World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, Cody Rhodes, Dominik Mysterio, Trish Stratus, Becky Lynch, and other stars will be appearing during the show.

In the realm of news, AEW had a spectacular night last night with their presentation of AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door. However, one match has left a top AEW star shelved for the next couple of months. During the main event match of Bryan Danielson vs. Kazuchika Okada, Danielson legitimately broke his forearm. Fans and industry professionals alike are also heaping praise on Will Ospreay and Kenny Omega for putting on a spectacular, brutal match during the pay-per-view.
