WWE have provided a storyline update on ‘The Viper’ Randy Orton, following the shocking events of Monday Night’s Raw finale on January 11.
According to WWE.com, the former ‘Legend Killer’ suffered minor burns to his face from the fireball shot by Alexa Bliss, but there was no mention on whether or not the star will be off of television in order to sell the effects of the attack.
The night started out simply for former WWE Champion Randy Orton, when he interrupted the show opening promo by Triple H and challenged him to a brawl later in the evening. The fight was accepted by ‘The Game’ who gladly stepped into the square circle with his rival for the first time since June 2019.
As the brawl came to a close, the lights dimmed and Alexa Bliss appeared in the corner concealing something in her white gloves. Seconds later, she let rip with a vicious fireball which hit Randy full force in the face.
The ambush by ‘Little Miss Bliss’ was a receipt for Orton’s actions in recent weeks, first burning ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt to a crisp at the stunning conclusion to WWE Tables, Ladders and Chairs 2020 on December 22, and then even contemplating doing the same to Bliss on December 28, 2020.
Despite ‘The Viper’ having declared for the 30-Man Royal Rumble Match in January 31, the belief still persists that he will battle a returning Fiend earlier in the evening in a Firefly Funhouse Match.
