WWE President Nick Khan has confirmed that more international Premium Live Events will be coming in 2025.
2024 saw the company go more international than ever before with big shows held in Australia, the UK, France, Germany and Canada on top of the 2 annual events in Saudi Arabia. Although the promotion will return to Canada in March to present Elimination Chamber, fans in Europe will also see at least 2 more shows come to the continent.
Khan was in attendance at a Las Vegas tourism event on Thursday, January 17th and provided some additional details regarding key events set to take place in 2025. As reported by Las Vegas Review Journal’s Mick Akers, who was in attendance for the session, during the “fireside chat” Khan stated that France and Germany would see PLEs return to the countries this year. No further details were provided regarding the dates or names of the shows.
Khan also confirmed that the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas would be the location for the go-home SmackDown and the Raw after WrestleMania. With the Hall of Fame ceremony taking place directly after SmackDown, it is also likely that this will also be taking place in the same venue. It was also confirmed that the returning WWE World would take over the Las Vegas Convention Center from April 17th to 21st.
European WWE Shows To Return
May 2024 saw Backlash take place in Lyon, France. Headlined by Cody Rhodes defending the Undisputed Championship against AJ Styles, the show saw the hottest crowd of the year with loud fan chants taking place all night, especially for Styles. Returning to Europe in August, the first-ever Bash in Berlin show took place and was headlined by Gunther defending the World Heavyweight Championship against Randy Orton.
