WWE Present LA Rams With Custom Championship Following Super Bowl Victory

WWE Championship LA Rams

WWE has continued its tradition of presenting the winners of the Super Bowl with their very own custom WWE Championship as they gave one to the Los Angeles Rams.

Super Bowl LVI took place in the Rams’ home SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. That stadium will play host to WrestleMania 39 in 2023 with rumours of two matches already pencilled in for the event as WrestleMania goes Hollywood.

The showpiece game of the NFL season saw the NFC Champions the Los Angeles Rams take on the AFC Champions the Cincinnati Bengals to crown the 61st Super Bowl champions. The Bengals were only two years removed from being the worst team in the league and looked to bring the Vince Lombardi Trophy back to Cincinnati for the first time ever.

On home soil, however, the LA Rams, competing in their second Super Bowl in four years and led by QB Matthew Stafford would not be denied victory. With the Rams going into the fourth quarter 20-16 down, Stafford drove his team down the field before finishing off a fine play with a 1-yard pass to Cooper Kupp to win the game.

WWE Championships have become synonymous with winning sports teams in recent years and the WWE Title could be proudly seen during the Rams’ celebrations.

The title belt was not the only wrestling connection with the game as former WWE Champion and Hollywood icon The Rock introduced the game on the field in a moment that was simply electrifying.
