WWE’s Huge Plans For Roman Reigns’ Return Revealed, New Nickname

Roman Reigns possibly returning to WWE SummerSlam 2025

Roman Reigns may be set for a major WWE return with a new nickname.

Roman Reigns hasn’t been on WWE television since he and CM Punk were attacked by the newly formed faction of Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker on the RAW after WrestleMania 41. The stable has since added Bronson Reed to their ranks. Meanwhile, The Best in the World returned, but there was no sign of The Tribal Chief. However, that may change soon.

On the latest episode of WrestleVotes Radio on Sportskeeda WrestleBinge, JoeyVotes shared that Roman Reigns was “near” a return with new marketing and merchandise being prepared. There have also been discussions to bring him back in time for Night of Champions this weekend, but it was decided that his return will occur en route to SummerSlam instead.

Sources added that Reigns was set to be a “main part” of The Biggest Party of the Summer in New Jersey, with an alternative nickname also being discussed ahead of his return.

Last year’s SummerSlam was also the premium live event when The Tribal Chief returned after losing the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania XL.

Roman Reigns Might Find Himself An Unlikely Ally Upon WWE Return

With Paul Heyman now aligned with Seth Rollins and the rest of the OG Bloodline going their separate ways, Roman Reigns may be back to being a solo star after a long time. However, it seems like the Stamford-based promotion has other plans for him.

On the WrestleVotes Q&A on Sportskeeda’s WrestleBinge, Bill Apter stated Roman might get involved in an ongoing feud with Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu, and might even align with The Samoan Werewolf upon his return since they’re both babyfaces.
