WWE ‘People in Power’ Reportedly P*ssed Off Over Jimmy Uso Arrest

By James Holder. Published 6th July 2021.
Jimmy Uso

News of latest legal troubles surrounding Jimmy Uso has reportedly not gone down well with some “high level people in power” backstage in WWE.

According to TMZ Jimmy Uso was arrested on Monday evening at 10:35pm for DUI.

TMZ reports that Uso was driving in Pensacola, Florida, and was arrested after running a red light having been driving at 50mph in a 35mph zone. Having been pulled over, Uso was reportedly asked to exit his Dodge Charger with the police officers saying the WWE star smelled of alcohol.

The SmackDown star’s sobriety tests returned a BAC of .202 and .205 – well above the legal limit of .08 – according to police documents. The report says Uso had told police he had consumed “multiple” beers before getting behind the wheel.

Following up on the news, Wrestle Votes note that a few “high level people in power” within WWE are legitimately p*ssed off over the arrest.

I’ve spoken to two sources this morning on the Jimmy Uso news. I can say with certainty that a few “high level people in power” are extremely disappointed & legitimately pissed off over the arrest. This many times isn’t a mistake or bad luck. It’s personal judgment. Not good.

This latest incident isn’t Uso’s first brush with the law, with multiple arrests only a couple of years ago being well documented.

Jimmy Uso was booked for DUI in July 2019, before being found not guilty by a jury, as well as being arrested shortly beforehand in 2019 when he was allegedly involved in an altercation with police in Detroit.

TMZ reports that, according to jail records, Uso was booked on a misdemeanor DUI charge and is currently still behind bars. The report adds that Uso was also hit with citations for speeding and running a red light, and his bond is currently set at $500.

Since returning to WWE in May 2021 following a long absence due to injury, Jimmy has featured prominently on SmackDown alongside brother Jey and cousin Roman Reigns.

On the most recent episode of SmackDown, Jimmy called out Reigns’ current rival Edge. The Rated R Superstar confronted the tag team star, locking him in a cross-face with a piece of a steel chair as the show went off the air.
