WWE Reused Decade-Old Crowd Footage At WrestleMania Backlash [Video]

WWE WrestleMania Backlash Crowd Baron Corbin

One WWE superfan responded to spotting himself in the crowd while watching WrestleMania Backlash at home!

Madcap Moss and Happy Corbin faced off at WrestleMania Backlash after the two ended their long-time partnership on the April 8th episode of SmackDown. On that occasion, Corbin arrived in a bad mood after being defeated by Drew McIntyre while Moss was bouncing off the walls after his win in the Andr.e The Giant Memorial Battle Royal a week ago.

In what some fans may deem an upset, Madcap Moss was able to defeat Happy Corbin at WrestleMania Backlash. During the video package promoting the bout, however, certain eagle-eyed fans noticed that some of the crowd footage seemed familiar – and that it was actually a decade old.

One fan on Twitter pointed out a shot from a 2012 episode of Raw and provided a side-by-side comparison of the footage.

“While watching Backlash, I noticed during the recap of Happy Corbin vs Madcap Moss they used crowd shots from 10 years ago. I know they manipulate the crowds in the recaps, but damn a 10-year difference. Lol”

This tweet tagged a well-known WWE superfan known as Brock Lesnar Guy, who could be seen in the footage. Brock Lesnar Guy also took to social media to respond, showing a video of himself watching the old footage and sporting an entirely different look as he now has shorter hair and a full beard.

The footage in question was originally filmed on the March 12th, 2012 episode of Monday Night Raw where John Cena returned as the Doctor of Thuganomics to further his feud with The Rock leading up to WrestleMania 28.
