WWE has shared some interesting details about Brock Lesnar‘s incredible SummerSlam return.
One of the major talking points following WWE SummerSlam came from Night 2. The ending of the inaugural two-night event saw the return of The Beast Incarnate, Brock Lesnar.
It was a huge moment, especially seeing as Lesnar’s last major WWE appearance was nearly two years ago at SummerSlam, where he faced Cody Rhodes. Now, he is back and looks set to enter a program with John Cena, who is in the midst of his retirement tour.
That being said, Lesnar’s return was completely unexpected. There had been speculation for quite some time, but that is always the case when discussing a superstar of his caliber. So, with that in mind, when did the company approach him with this idea? Well, on tonight’s episode of RAW, Michael Cole revealed that Nick Khan and Triple H had spoken to Lesnar weeks ago.

It will be interesting to see what the future holds now that Brock Lesnar is back. His potential feud with John Cena aside, there are plenty of opportunities to explore.
WWE’s legal team cleared Brock Lesnar four weeks ago
One of the reasons why Brock Lesnar’s return was unexpected was because of his current situation. Alongside Vince McMahon, he was one of the names mentioned in the Janel Grant lawsuit. As such, many assumed that a return was impossible.
However, according to recent reports, it has been revealed that WWE’s legal team cleared Lesnar four weeks ago. Discussing the return on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed the same. He claimed that the company is confident that the case will be settled, that Lesnar is no longer a factor, or that somebody has changed their mind.
Regardless, the Beast is back now, and only time will tell if bringing him back was the right decision by the Stamford-based promotion.
