On the November 25th episode of SmackDown, Charles Robinson was the official in charge during the main event bout as The Usos took on Drew McIntyre and Sheamus. Both teams were looking to secure the WarGames advantage at the upcoming Survivor Series, and in the end, Sheamus and McIntyre emerged victorious.
While many fans were surprised that the babyface team managed to score a victory over the Undisputed Tag Team Champions, WWE viewers also noticed that Robinson had a number of over-the-top reactions during the bout and some took him to task.
In response, the veteran referee took to social media himself, posting an apology and calling his reactions “silly.”
“I apologize for the silly reactions on @wwe #smackdown. I am ridiculous. I try and try to stop reacting but can’t. I know when “people “ talk about refs over selling it’s about me. #wrestling #friday”
The Bloodline Scored A Victory Inside WarGames At WWE Survivor Series
Despite the fact that their team failed to gain the advantage on SmackDown, The Bloodline managed to defeat the Brawling Brutes, Drew McIntyre, and Kevin Owens inside WarGames at Survivor Series.
The bout received high praise from fans for its masterful storytelling as Sami Zayn‘s loyalty to The Bloodline had been questioned throughout the night. On the Black Friday edition of SmackDown, Jey Uso overheard Zayn talking to Kevin Owens, who told his longtime friend that he should turn on The Bloodline before they ended up turning on him.
However, Zayn proved his loyalty when he not only stopped a referee from counting when Owens nearly pinned Roman Reigns, but he also hit Owens with a low blow that allowed Reigns to pin him for the win. All five men celebrated together after the bout, and on the following episode of Raw, it was made clear that Zayn was part of the family.
Survivor Series also saw the in-ring return of Becky Lynch, who was revealed on the previous night’s SmackDown to be the mystery fifth partner alongside Bianca Belair, Asuka, Alexa Bliss, and Mia Yim as they took on the team of Bayley, Dakota Kai, IYO SKY, Nikki Cross, and Rhea Ripley. Lynch scored the pinfall victory for her team.
