A WWE NXT star announced picking up major injuries.
Adriana Rizzo is currently one of the rising stars in WWE NXT. She began her journey in the company in 2022, but in October of that year, she was sidelined with an injury due to an Achilles tendon rupture. A year later, she returned during a live event.
Rizzo gained traction in the developmental brand by joining Tony D’Angelo and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo as a member of The D’Angelo Family. Since then, she has clashed against names like Izzi Dame, Nikkita Lyons, Jaida Parker, and more. Unfortunately, her time as an active wrestler came to a sudden halt, temporarily at least.
In a recent announcement on her Instagram, the WWE NXT star shared that she tore her ACL and meniscus. Adriana Rizzo shared that it was only a setback and not the end, but noted her previous injuries. Still, she was confident about coming back fully healed:
Here we go again… torn ACL and meniscus. A setback, not the end. As some of you know, I’ve had a string of bad luck with injuries — I tore my Achilles in 2023, partially tore my ACL four months later, and have been working on it ever since. After a year and a half, it finally gave out on me. I’m ready to attack this and come back 100% healthy for the first time in my WWE career.”
2025 Is Not Looking Good For WWE NXT Star Adriana Rizzo
Aside from an injury, another major moment for Adriana Rizzo this year was the breakup of The D’Angelo Family, which occurred last month.
In a post on X/Twitter, the WWE NXT star shared that being part of the group was a chapter in her life she would cherish forever and noted they weren’t just a faction, but family.
The end of an era. Being apart of The D’Angelo Family is a chapter of my life that I’ll cherish forever. We laughed, fought, celebrated, and built something special together. This wasn’t just a faction—it was a family. As we all set off on our own paths, I’ll carry the memories, lessons, and bonds we made for life. La famiglia per sempre.”
It remains to be seen when and where Adriana Rizzo will be seen next.
