WWE NXT Star Optimistic For Evolution 2, Names Bayley As Possible Opponent

A member of the WWE NXT roster is hoping that the Evolution event will be revived in the future and that former Women’s Champion Bayley will be their opponent.

Back in 2018, the company presented the first and so far only iteration of the all-women’s show Evolution. Praised by fans as one of the best shows of the year, there have been frequent calls for a follow-up to the event to give the female stars of today the same opportunity. However, at the time of writing, there have been no plans to host another all-women’s show in the foreseeable future.

Speaking with Scott Fishman of TV Insider, NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez joined the many fans in calling for another Evolution event to take place and named the SmackDown star as a potential opponent:

“I’d love that. I’ve been waiting for an Evolution II for a pretty long time. Now I can possibly be a part of it. The first time I watched it I was watching from my couch probably 15, or 16 years old. I was dying to be part of that one day. Yeah, hopefully, they can put together an Evolution II. Maybe me versus Bayley?”

At the 2018 show, Bayley teamed with Sasha Banks and Natalya to defeat The Riott Squad. In a previous interview, Bayley named a Hall of Famer as her dream tag team partner.

In a new interview, Bayley stated that she is still holding out hope for Evolution 2.
