Former WWE NXT Champion Ethan Page has deactivated his social media account following a string of disappointing performances, including a surprising loss at an NXT live event in Orlando on Saturday, December 14th.
Page’s recent struggles began at WWE NXT Deadline, where he fell short in the Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge. The setbacks continued on the December 10th episode of NXT, where Page unsuccessfully challenged Tony D’Angelo for the NXT North American Championship. However, the most unexpected blow came during the live event when Page was pinned by Dante Chen, a result that left fans and analysts stunned.
WWE NXT shared footage of the match on social media, capturing the moment Chen rolled up Page for the three-count. After the loss, Page appeared visibly shaken as he exited the arena. His frustration was further showcased in a backstage video posted by WWE, where Page, looking dejected, barged past Bronco Nima and Lucien Price of OTM. When confronted by WWE cameras about his behaviour, Page’s demeanour shifted to anger as he shoved the camera away.
The situation took another turn when fans noticed that Page’s X account had been deactivated shortly after the event. Clicking on the handle now leads to an error message, suggesting the former NXT Champion chose to step away from the platform amidst mounting frustrations.
