WWE NXT Star Blasts Recent Dave Meltzer Report – “This Is Just Not True”

Thea Hail Tiffany Stratton WWE NXT

WWE NXT seems to have been bitten by the injury bug as of late, but one of its rising stars hit out at claims that she was affected.

Grayson Waller was reportedly injured during his match with Carmelo Hayes at Spring Breakin’, and Sol Ruca was recently written off television with a serious injury. Nikkita Lyons and Wendy Choo are also said to be on the injured list, and Tiffany Stratton was nearly crowned NXT Women’s Champion when Indi Hartwell injured her ankle in their triple threat title match on April 25th. Hartwell was able to finish the match, but there is no word on the severity of her ankle injury.

A recent report in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that Chase U’s Thea Hail was off television due to an injury, but that the injury was minor and she wasn’t expected to be out for long. The report continued, noting that some in the company are blaming a new strength and conditioning coach for the recent string of injuries:

“There are those who have blamed the current workouts they are putting the talent through as being counterproductive due to all the injuries. One person noted the new strength and conditioning coach has talent lifting heavy all the time and there is a feeling that heavy lifting that puts any stress on knees, shoulders or backs, is counterproductive for a wrestling style that also puts so much stress on those same body parts.

The former coach was about doing athletic drills and trying to develop explosiveness and the complaints are that now it is more about increasing strength in different lefts by going heavy.”

WWE NXT’s Thea Hail Took Dave Meltzer’s Report To Task On Social Media

Hail herself took to social media to refute a tweet summarizing the WON report.

“i don’t know where these dudes get their info from but this is just not true”

It is unclear from the tweet whether Hail is disputing the fact that she’s injured or the report about the new coach. Hail last competed at a WWE live event on April 15th, facing Indi Hartwell and Cora Jade in triple threat action for the NXT Women’s Championship.
