  • Eventually, Strong has enough of Grimes’ shenanigans and blindsides The Million Dollar Caveman from behind on the ring ramp
  • Strong is in control early on, however during a brawl on the outside Strong is distracted by a Undisputed Era shirt worn by a fan which gives Grimes a route back into the match.
  • A huge Superplex leaves both men down and only manages to secure ‘The Messiah of the Backbreaker’ a two-count.
  • Following a Spanish Fly, Grimes distracts Strong with a Undisputed Era Arm Band allowing him to connect with The Cave-In and pick up the win.

Santos Escobar Open Challenge, Santos Escobar defeats Tyler Breeze via pinfall [Phantom Driver]

  • Escobar cuts a familiar promo discussing the history of Lucha Libre and how he was crafted by legacy to become Cruiserweight Champion.

  • The ‘real’ Cruiserweight Champion hits Breeze with the Double Knees into the corner before working him over with a series of stomps.
  • Breeze traps Escobars knee on the middle rope before coming down on the crucial joint with a stiff stomp.
  • The former NXT Tag Team Champion immediately follows up with a Sharpshooter however Escobar manages to reach the bottom rope and break the hold.

  • Before the match Shirai is once again laid out by Gonzalez despite the Women’s Champion screaming “You can’t kill me”.
  • Despite being at a considerable size advantage, Stark is able to regain control of the match momentarily even taking Gonzalez out on the outside before following up with a series of knee strikes to the temple of Gonzalez.
  • Kai attempts to get involved but gets a well placed Right Hand from Stark before being dumped over the barricade.
  • Stark hits a fantastic Twisting Neckbreaker from the top-rope however she is unable to follow through as she is caught in her own momentum and put down by Gonzalez’s Single-Arm Powerbomb.

Prime Target: Cole vs. O’Reilly

  • Incredibly well shot and intense video package recapping the rise and fall of the Undisputed Era.
  • The undertone of the video package is that over the last three-and-a-half years, Kyle has grown and Cole is still the same assh*le he has always been.
  • Cole states that the Undisputed Era was never about brotherhood and it was always about Adam Cole.
  • Video ends with O’Reilly stating if there is any chance that one day down the line, him and Cole can be friends again then he will do what ever he needs to do to Cole to get there.

Tian Sha defeat Kayden Carter & Kacy Catanzaro via pinfall [Spinning Axe Kick]

  • Although this is a tag team match, Xia Li appears to have no tag team partner and thus Tian Sha is now in a handicap match.
  • Although Kayden and Kacy control the match early on due to the numbers advance, the brutality of Li allows her to regain control on many occasions.
  • Carter approached Mei Ying on the outside who chokes her out via a straightforward strangulation before sending her unconscious via blowing smoke in her face.
  • Xia takes advantage of the equalled odds, hitting Kacy with the Spinning Axe Kick to pick up the pinfall victory.
  • Post-match, Io Shirai attempts to attack Gonzalez a third time only to get send flying through the wall and out into the hallway by Raquel.

  • Kushida and Dunne have a show down in the centre of the ring as the only two [other than Lumis] standing.
  • Dunne and Kushida begin a fantastic submission sequence however in the process they eliminate on another.
  • Grimes, Swerve, Reed, Knight, Lumis and Ruff qualify for the 6-man match on night one of TakeOver for a shot again Gargano on Night 2.
