WWE Night of Champions emanated from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and turned out to be another stellar event for the company. There were lots of things that happened on the show, including the return of a top star after 210 days.
WWE’s latest offering from Saudi Arabia had its share of ups and downs. Several new angles were booked with the crowning of a King and Queen of the Ring.
Here’s a look at the winners and losers from WWE Night of Champions 2025:
#4. Winner: Solo Sikoa is the new United States Champion; adds new Bloodline member at WWE Night of Champions
Solo Sikoa managed to defeat former stablemate and real-life Bloodline member Jacob Fatu to become the new United States Champion. The star also added a new member to the Bloodline in Hikuleo. It led to some wonderful angles within the faction as its story continues to evolve. Meanwhile, it was Jacob Fatu’s first pinfall loss.

Tonga Loa also returned to action for the first time since Survivor Series last year, where he suffered a torn bicep. With his return after 210 days and the addition of a new member, Sikoa’s version of The Bloodline looks stronger than ever and will be one to look out for on SmackDown.
#3. Loser: Asuka should have been the Queen of the Ring
While Jade Cargill has been pushed as a top star and is a serious contender to be the face of the women’s division in the coming years, one can’t help but feel that giving Asuka the Queen of the Ring crown was the right move here. The Asuka-IYO SKY feud was right there and would have been a perfect match at SummerSlam. There was a lot of story to be told, and Jade Cargill already has a readymade rivalry with Naomi.

Triple H perhaps missed the plot on this one.
#2. Winner and Loser: The Randy Orton versus Cody Rhodes match was…perplexing at best
The Randy Orton-Cody Rhodes match was a weird one at WWE Night of Champions. While it was obvious that Orton wanted to be the heel in the contest and portrayed himself in that manner during the bout, it was ultimately The American Nightmare who won using less than fair means.
Moreover, Orton hinted at a heel turn in the near future while Rhodes continues to remain the top babyface in WWE. The finish to the match was also perplexing as it came suddenly and did not have the desired impact that a Randy Orton-Cody Rhodes match would have hoped to establish.

Fans were undoubtedly cheering for both men, and it was great to see the mentor and the mentee finally get in the ring after so many years, but it was kind of a hodgepodge, to be honest.
#1. Winner: John Cena hinted at finally becoming a babyface at WWE Night of Champions
John Cena’s heel run has divided fans, unlike anything else he has done in his illustrious 20-plus years in WWE. The star adhered to the crowd and refused to hit CM Punk with the Undisputed WWE Title, while also immediately turning on him after a handshake. There were brief moments where Cena showed conscience and remorse, but also did not want to show any other feeling.
It was great character play from the star. The 17-time world champion was clearly the babyface during his confrontation with Seth Rollins, while being a heel against Punk.

Don’t lose hope, people, that face turn may be coming soon even though it did not come at WWE Night of Champions.
