WWE Money In The Bank has traditionally been one of WWE’s most exciting shows of the year, so what does the 2022 edition of the star-making event have in store?
At Money In The Bank 2021 Big E launched himself into WWE’s main event picture with victory against former champions such as Drew McIntyre, Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins. However, claiming the Money In The Bank contract proved to be just the first step as he successfully cashed in his title shot and defeated Bobby Lashley to claim the WWE Title.
In the women’s match, there was a huge win for Nikki A.S.H who upset the likes of Asuka and Liv Morgan on her way to victory. As with Big E, Nikki A.S.H successfully cashed in the Money In The Bank contract, pinning Charlotte Flair to win the Raw Women’s Title.
The moral of this story is that a win at Money In The Bank has the potential to change a Superstar’s entire career and take them to WWE’s top table. With that in mind, who are 2022’s hopefuls?
In the men’s match Drew McIntyre, Seth Rollins, Riddle, Madcap Moss, Omos, Sheamus and Sami Zayn will be battling for supremacy, while in the women’s bout Asuka, Becky Lynch, Liv Morgan, Shotzi, Alexa Bliss, Raquel Rodriguez and Lacey Evans will be bidding to claim the all-important briefcase.
Away from the Ladder Matches, Ronda Rousey defends her SmackDown Women’s Title against Natalya, and Bianca Belair puts her Raw Title on the line against Carmella. The Street Profits attempt to become Undisputed Tag Team Champions when they face The Usos, and Bobby Lashley is on the hunt for United States Championship gold in his match against Theory.
