WWE’s Reported Masterplan For Seth Rollins’ MITB Cash-In After Injury Disclosed

WWE Seth Rollins

Possible Seth Rollins Money in the Bank cash-in plans disclosed after recent WWE injury.

At Saturday Night’s Main Event, Seth Rollins’ singles match against LA Knight came to an abrupt halt after The Visionary seemingly injured his knee. This led to The Megastar winning the match after a quick and somewhat finish to their match.

Reports have since stated that the injury was legitimate and Rollins might be out for a while, along with Triple H saying that Seth wasn’t looking good. However, rumors then spread that everything might be a work to lead to a surprise cash-in. From the looks of it, Dave Meltzer suggested a solid plan the Stamford-based promotion may have to execute for his return.

Seth Rollins’ WWE Money In The Bank Cash-In Might Happen At SummerSlam

In a recent Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer shared that he thinks the plan was to have the SNME injury angle, but later surprise everyone by cashing it in at SummerSlam after CM Punk defeated Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship.

The plan was to do the injury to Seth Rollins at Saturday’s Main Event. You’re thinking he’s hurt badly, he’s gone. And then he surprises everyone, cashes in on the Gunther-Punk winner, which probably Punk, right? That’s the one he’s always screwing with. And then he ends up the champion. So Punk gets the title and then loses it in seconds, I figure.”

Meltzer added that if Rollins does cash in at The Biggest Party of the Summer against CM Punk, it’s likely that Seth will reveal that his injury was only a cover-up. Dave stated this was a good idea, but might have been ruined after word got out.

I can’t imagine him not winding up with the championship and then, you know, telling everyone it was a ruse and he worked everyone and all that. And actually, you know, like I thought that was actually quite brilliant, but it’s out now.”

In other news: WWE legend believes Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman’s faction will split soon.
