Rhea Ripley and Natalya tore the house down on the July 3rd edition of WWE Raw.
Natalya was coming off the back of two devastating defeats to the Women’s World Champion, but this time she was determined to make an impact. In their previous encounters at Night of Champions and on Raw, Ripley had the win in stunningly quick style, but on July 3rd, Natalya had a plan.
The Canadian star took a leaf out of Ripley’s book and attacked the star before she’d even got to the ring. This set the tone for a fantastically hard-hitting contest, which although it ended in another victory for the champion, saw Natalya praised across the board for her amped-up performance.
It seems that the goodwill also extended backstage to management. A report from Fightful Select noted that those backstage were “very happy” with how the match played out. Both women were said to have taken a beating but were quick to say how much fun they had.
The report adds that management who were in attendance were also impressed with the bout.
Triple H Missed July 3rd WWE Raw
Following the show, it was also reported that Triple H missed the show, with the episode being overseen by Bruce Prichard. However, his absence was said to be a planned night away and he’s expected to be back in the gorilla position for SmackDown on July 7th from Madison Square Garden.
