WWE are preparing for the next steps in the eventual return of Uncle Howdy.
Beginning over WrestleMania weekend with the first tease being shown at the end of the Bray Wyatt documentary, QR codes have flashed up on weekly TV and at Premium Live Events each week and have led viewers to cryptic and creepy messages in a similar manner to late 2022, which ultimately saw the return of Bray Wyatt. The 2024 hints, which have also been referenced on commentary, are strongly believed to be the return of Uncle Howdy and a new faction that has been dubbed “Wyatt 6” until an official name has been confirmed.
The latest tease on the June 10th episode of Raw effectively confirmed that the group will make their presence felt on the June 17th Raw as a countdown clock was displayed to that date. According to a new report, additional preparations are being made.
As reported by Mike Johnson of PWInsider, vignettes for the group are being filmed in advance of their unveiling on June 17th and will consist of the following wrestlers:
- Bo Dallas
- Nikki Cross
- Dexter Lumis
- Joe Gacey
- Erick Rowan
PWInsider adds that it remains uncertain if any of the stars will keep their current personas or portray new ones. Erick Rowan was previously rumoured to be making his return to the company as a part of the group when he cancelled independent dates earlier in the year. Rowan was released from his contract back in 2020.
Uncle Howdy’s WWE Takeover Expands
The cryptic messages expanded beyond weekly TV as mysterious messages started to appear online. Along with the official Twitch stream being hijacked, Uncle Howdy also took over the WWE website.
In recent news, Uncle Howdy returned on the June 17th WWE Raw.
