WWE is coming off another successful weekend, which included a historic happening with AAA. As usual, the Stamford-based company has wasted no time in announcing new details that will make the WWE Universe proud and help solidify recent and upcoming decisions.
Triplemania is AAA’s version of WrestleMania. The promotions co-presented Worlds Collide in June and have collaborated on smaller shows since announcing the big acquisition during WrestleMania 41 weekend. The 33rd Triplemania was actually the 47th event overall to use the legendary name, and the first one jointly presented by WWE and AAA.
The famous Arena CDMX in Mexico City hosted Triplemania XXXIII on Saturday night. Highlights saw Omos return to conquer the surprise-filled Copa Bardahl, The Judgment Day winning a fun Trios Match, two big title changes, and more. The main event saw El Hijo del Vikingo retain the AAA Mega Championship over Dominik Mysterio, Dragon Lee, and El Grande Americano.
Saturday’s show was AAA’s most-viewed and highest-grossing event in Triplemania history. World Wrestling Entertainment announced today that both companies found major success in their first Triplemania together.
