In the weeks and months leading into the event, Lesnar was linked with matches against former World Champions and WWE Hall of Famers, so the bout with Omos came as a surprise to many.

However, come night two of WrestleMania, the match was well-received in SoFi Stadium, as The Beast was cheered to victory.

He delivered multiple F-5s, sent the American Nightmare crashing through the announce table, and wore him out with a steel chair.

On SmackDown, WWE attempted to explain Lesnar’s actions but only raised more eyebrows among fans. During the show, commentator Wade Barrett claimed that he only attacked Rhodes because he was frustrated at opening night two of WrestleMania and not being in the main event.
