WWE Makes Another Change Following Controversy, Special Night For Penta, Triple H Reveals Must-Watch Promo

Penta appears on WWE RAW, Triple H with Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker at AAA

WWE has a major series of shows planned for the next few months, including the inaugural Wrestlepalooza PLE, NXT Homecoming, trips back to Australia and Japan, among others, including John Cena’s final dates. New details and changes are being revealed as Triple H and his team prepare for double duty tonight.

WWE and AAA are teaming up later tonight for another Worlds Collide special. After the big acquisition in April, the two legendary promotions hit the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on June 7 for their first Worlds Collide event together. After a successful Triplemanía XXXIII a few weeks back, Worlds Collide will be held tonight at the Thomas & Mack Center’s Cox Pavilion near Las Vegas, featuring the rosters of WWE, NXT, and AAA.

Triple H took to social media today to reveal the official Cold Open video for Worlds Collide V, touting the massive and already-successful alliance. The Chief Content Officer captioned the near-two-minute video with a preview of the three rosters doing battle tonight. He wrapped the tweet with a famous three-word question from DX.

“The future of @WWE, @WWENXT& @luchalibreaaa clash under the same roof TONIGHT… It’s #WorldsCollide on YouTube at 10ET/7PT… are you ready?,” Triple H wrote with the video below.

Officials previously announced a big 8-man Lucha Showcase match for tonight with La Parka, Octagon Jr., Niño Hamburguesa, and Mascarita Sagrada vs. Joaquin Wilde, Cruz Del Toro, Lince Dorado, and Mini Abismo Negro. In what turned out to be a significant controversy, the original La Parka, who wrestles as LA Park these days, ripped WWE and called the company out on social media for using a photo of him on the match graphic, and not the current version of La Parka, introduced by AAA in March and portrayed by Brazo de Oro Jr.

AAA World Cruiserweight Champion Laredo Kid later replaced La Parka in the Worlds Collide lineup, but now La Parka (not the WCW version) has been added back to the Lucha Showcase. Dave Meltzer reports that La Parka is now replacing Hamburguesa due to a visa issue for the heavyweight luchadore.

Final Card For WWE-AAA Worlds Collide: Las Vegas; Penta Added

WWE and AAA will present Worlds Collide V tonight from Cox Pavilion at the Thomas & Mack Center in Paradise, NV. The show will begin at 10pm ET, just as the live SmackDown from Norfolk, VA is going off the air on the USA Network. The event will air live and for free on the WWE YouTube channel, with English and Spanish commentary.

World Wrestling Entertainment has announced that Penta will be making a special appearance at Worlds Collide tonight. There’s no word yet on what the RAW Superstar will be doing, but this is his first AAA outing since April 14, 2024, where he teamed with current AAA World Tag Team Champions Pagano and Psycho Clown to defeat El Texano, Rey Escorpion, and Aereo.

Penta has worked more dates for AAA than any other promotion, around 225 since September 2010 vs. 182 in AEW. He is a 5-time AAA champion, and was named Wrestler of the Year in 2015, as well as Rudo (heel) of the Year in 2014 and 2015. One-half of The Lucha Brothers last wrestled for WWE during RAW on September 8, in the near-9-minute loss to Rusev.
