WWE have changed plans for one of the top matches scheduled for Elimination Chamber.
The upcoming Premium Live Event will solidify WrestleMania plans for the two top champions on the Raw brand, World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins and whoever is victorious in the Women’s World Championship match between Rhea Ripley and Nia Jax. The champions will see the challengers determined in respective Elimination Chamber matches. The men’s match has announced 12 competitors who will take part in 6 qualifying matches to guarantee their spot inside the structure. The Women’s Chamber has also seen qualifying matches take place but the final spot will be determined in a last-chance battle royal on the February 19th edition of Raw.
With Jade Cargill having a strong showing in her debut match in the Royal Rumble, it had been speculated that Cargill would also be in the Chamber match, winning the battle royal despite not previously being a part of any qualifying matches. Additionally, a leaked match graphic would be spotted on social media which included Cargill in the line-up. However, according to a new report, this plan has since changed.
As reported by PWInsider, Cargill will not be a part of the Women’s Chamber match and will not be featured on the card altogether. It is also noted that Cargill is scheduled to be a part of the SmackDown taping on February 16th, which will serve as a double taping of the show.
Currently, Becky Lynch, Bianca Belair and Liv Morgan are all confirmed entrants in the match.
WWE Looks To Make Further Changes Due To Unforeseen Circumstances
Two more Women’s Elimination Chamber qualifying matches are currently scheduled for the February 16th SmackDown, Naomi vs. Zelina Vega and Tiffany Stratton vs. Shotzi. However, due to Shotzi suffering a serious injury at an NXT taping, the match is very likely to be cancelled. It is unknown at this time who will replace Shotzi in the qualifying match.
