It has been over three years since Dwayne Johnson stepped in a WWE ring and three months shy of 10 years since he had a match of any note, but is that finally about to change?
Dwayne Johnson hasn’t featured in person on WWE television since the October 4th, 2019 edition of Friday Night SmackDown. However, fans have now began to discuss potential hints dropped by WWE which could yet signal a return.
The first of these was the heavy use of electrical currents on graphics and posters for the Royal Rumble on January 28th. The Rock famously styled himself as the “Most Electrifying Man In Sports and Entertainment.” This has been followed by the release of a new Rumble t-shirt which features a bull front and centre. While Texas, where the Rumble is being held, is also synonymous with bulls and cattle, the design is very similar to The Rock’s famous Brahma Bull logo.

Dwayne Johnson Coming To WWE Raw?
Some fans have even suggested that the star could make a surprise appearance on the special 30th anniversary edition of Monday Night Raw on January 23rd. It has been announced that The Bloodline will be featured heavily on the show with an “Acknowledgement Ceremony” taking place to celebrate Roman Reigns. In the promo announcing the segment, The Usos said that it would feature “every generation” of The Bloodline. Johnson is Roman Reigns’ cousin.
The Rock hasn’t wrestled since being defeated by John Cena at WrestleMania 29. During the bout Johnson sustained an abdominal injury which pushed back filming for the movie Hercules. The WWE legend did technically wrestle against Eric Rowan at WrestleMania 32, where he pinned the star in under 10 seconds in an impromptu match.
It is widely believed that the star will be in action at WrestleMania 39 where he’ll face Roman Reigns.
