NXT Halloween Havoc brought the scares for many of the brand’s champions and now it’s been reported a wrestling legend was due to make an appearance at the event.
Bron Breakker has been the talk of the wrestling world since he made his debut on the premiere edition of NXT 2.0 in September. The real-life Bronson Rechsteiner bears an uncanny resemblance to a former WWF and WCW tag team and despite his on-screen name, he is actually the nephew of Scott Steiner and the son of Rick Steiner.
Now talkSPORT’s Alex McCarthy has taken to social media to reveal that Breakker’s dad and former WWF Tag Team Champion Rick Steiner was due to appear at Halloween Havoc:
“Tommaso Ciampa told me that Rick Steiner was planned to appear at Halloween Havoc last month, but he pulled out last minute.”

Bron Breakker competed at the show on the 26th of October in the main event in what was just his fourth wrestling match in WWE. Breakker took on NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa for the gold but the 24-year-old former Baltimore Raven was unsuccessful in taking ‘Goldie’ from Ciampa.
Rick Steiner himself competed on five different Halloween Havoc shows during his time wrestling for the NWA and WCW. His last appearance at the event came in 1999 when he won the WCW Television Title.
Perhaps his most memorable appearance at that event came in 1991 when The Steiner Brothers teamed up with El Gigante and Sting to defeat Cactus Jack, Abdullah The Butcher, The Diamond Studd, and Big Van Vader in the infamous Chamber Of Horrors match.
