WWE Legend Ready To Join AEW For Sensational Role

A WWE legend is open to work with a certain AEW star.

A WWE legend expressed interest in joining AEW in a significant capacity.

Since its establishment on January 1, 2019, All Elite Wrestling has acquired some of the top talents who previously wrestled for World Wrestling Entertainment. Chris Jericho, Dustin Rhodes, Billy Gunn, Christian Cage, Cope (fka Edge), Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, and MVP, among others, are some of the marquee names who are currently competing for Tony Khan’s promotion.

Paul Ellering, the former manager of the legendary tag-team Legion of Doom/The Road Warriors, could potentially be the next ex-WWE talent to sign in Jacksonville. During an interview on THE HANNIBAL TV, he revealed that he’s open to managing her daughter and current AEW and ROH star, Rachael Ellering.

“I’d be up to it. It’s always nice to be around your kids,” Ellering said.

The ‘Precious’ one felt AEW is missing out on her daughter’s promo skills and overall presentation. He also pointed out that the 32-year-old star has an untapped potential that just needs to be noticed.

“She’s good in the ring but she has tremendous personality, and a great babyface. Really good with people,” he added. [WrestlingNewsCo]

Other teams that Ellering managed were The Authors of Pain (Akam and Rezar) and The Final Testament (Karrion Kross, Scarlett Bordeaux, and AOP).

WWE legend Paul Ellering claims The Authors of Pain should have been used better

In the same interview, long-time manager Paul Ellering shared honest opinions about The Authors of Pain’s second WWE run in 2024. He felt the creative team could have written better storylines for Akam and Rezar, especially with their involvement with The Wyatt Sicks.

The legend added that The Final Testament should have been pushed upon the addition of Karrion Kross’s psychological ability and Scarlett Bordeaux’s aura.

During their brief time in WWE, The Final Testament feuded against Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) and The Wyatt Sicks (Bo Dallas, Erick Rowan, Joe Gacy, Dexter Lumis, and Nikki Cross).

Following the stable’s loss in 2024 at Night 2 of Wrestlemania XL against Lashley, Dawkins, and Ford in a Philadelphia Street Fight, Ellering, Akam, and Rezar were released on February 7, 2025.
