WWE Legend Is Embarrassed For Tiffany Stratton Over Unplanned TV Moment

WWE Women's Champion Tiffany Stratton

Tiffany Stratton‘s unscripted comments landed criticism on a WWE legend.

Tiffany Stratton and Charlotte Flair had a tense WrestleMania 41 feud. Although their rivalry was only supposed to be for the Women’s Championship, a SmackDown segment en route to The Grandest Stage of Them All turned their competition into something more personal.

On the April 4 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Tiffany Stratton and Charlotte Flair continued the build-up for their WrestleMania 41 match by engaging in a vicious war of words. During this meeting, the Women’s Champion mocked the challenger’s divorce to Andrade by saying The Queen was a “3 and 0” in her marriages, referring to the times Flair filed for it.

Recently, Charlotte stated how that line had affected her deeply and emotionally. In a recent episode of Netflix’s WWE: Unreal series, Triple H was seen getting mad about the comment and instructed Stratton to apologize to Flair for her words.

Unsurprisingly, another star who wasn’t a big fan of the unscripted line was Charlotte’s own father and WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair.

During Ric Flair’s appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show, the WWE legend shared that he was enjoying Charlotte’s storyline with Alexa Bliss. Following this, the titular host stated that he was a big fan of that angle as well, but not the person she had with Tiffany. The Nature Boy replied by saying he was embarrassed for Stratton.

You know what? I’m embarrassed for her. And, I’m not going to say anymore. I don’t want it to affect anything. That was the cheapest sh*t I’ve ever heard in my life.”

Ariel Helwani then questioned whether the unscripted line was a shoot or work. The Nature Boy answered that either way, it was hurtful, but probably more so if it was a shoot. Ric Flair added that the topic shouldn’t have been used as a joke.

Well, whatever it was, it was hurtful. And it if it was a shoot, uh, that’s even worse, right? ‘Cause that’s nothing to joke about. Does that make sense?”
