A WWE Hall of Famer and hardcore legend believes that there would be significant interest if they faced off against Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania.
Currently reigning as the Women’s World Champion, Ripley will defend her title at WrestleMania 41 against the winner of the Women’s Elimination Chamber match on March 1st. While Ripley has booked her place for Mania 41 in Vegas, the Raw star is expected to be featured prominently on the card for many more years given her popularity in the company.
Although fans are still awaiting the Mania match between Ripley and Bianca Belair among other dream opponents such as Iyo Sky and Jordynne Grace, an unlikely name has also thrown their hat into the ring, Mick Foley.
While speaking with Jamal Niaz while at For The Love of Wrestling, Foley was asked if there was anyone on the current roster who he would have loved to have a hardcore match against:
“Well not just a hardcore deathmatch, but I could have torn it down with Darby Allin in a regular match. When it comes to the wild stuff, Jon Moxley and I could have torn it down. Kevin Owens and I, a hardcore rules, not necessarily a death match, but just something really physical. No shortage of people. I still think a 59-year-old Mick Foley and Rhea Ripley would draw at WrestleMania, I think so. Or maybe I come on Mami’s behalf and seek vengeance on Dirty Dom. That could work. I believe it would [sell out stadiums].”
Although some may be curious to see what would happen if Ripley and Foley faced off, WWE 2K25 is likely the only place where this match would be possible as intergender matches are making their return to the game.
