WWE Reportedly Interested In Bringing In Matt Taven

Matt Taven

According to a new report, WWE could be interested in signing former Ring of Honor World Champion, Matt Taven.

WWE has not been shy in bringing in talent under the management of Triple H. Throughout 2020 and 2021 the company’s roster was shredded several times with releases being put down to budget cuts. The budget looks to be thriving as since taking over Triple H has brought in several ex-stars including Karrion Kross, Dakota Kai, Braun Strowman, and as of Extreme Rules, Bray Wyatt.

Now a new report has suggested that the company has an interest in bringing in former Ring of Honor World Champion Matt Taven. Taven has been a part of the Honor No More faction in IMPACT Wrestling in recent months but his time with that company looks to be coming to an end.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that WWE has an interest in Taven with his time in IMPACT Wrestling drawing to a close:

“I know WWE has an interest in Taven. I would think that also Taven, Bennett, and Maria could go to New Japan [Pro Wrestling] because they have a history there. I don’t know about AEW, but if there’s something going on at Ring of Honor, they could go there because they were Ring of Honor people. They may all…Maria was trying to start her own women’s [wrestling] company.”
