MJF has touted being the subject of a bidding war in 2024 and that could come to fruition with WWE said to have major interest in bringing the star to the company.
MJF has become one of the biggest stars in All Elite Wrestling, joining the company from its beginnings and causing major waves in the pro wrestling industry ever since. The prodigious talent has just captured the Dynamite Diamond ring for the third year in a row and is in the middle of an increasingly personal feud with former WWE Champion CM Punk.
Now Andrew Zarian of Mat Men Radio has reported that WWE’s television partners FOX and the USA Network are very keen on turning one of the pillars of AEW into a WWE Superstar.
Zarian quoted a source at one of those networks who commented on the notorious promo battle between MJF and CM Punk as saying:
“I actually stopped what I was doing and listened to him. I don’t think I have done that with pro wrestling in a long time.”
A source from within WWE was reported as saying:
“He has everything we would want. It really depends on if he could be that same person on WWE TV. We want new stars to be the focus within the next few years. That’s the plan.”
MJF has responded to the report himself, simply repeating what he has previously mentioned many times on AEW television by writing:
“The Bidding War of 2024.”
