WWE has released a behind-the-scenes video showing how their amazing WrestleMania 39 entrances came to life.
Across two nights, entertaining over 160,000 attending fans and a global audience, WWE did not hold back in set design and providing meaningful entrances for their Superstars. They incorporated musicians for Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins, a dance group for Bianca Belair, and an Eddie Guerrero-inspired low-key car ride for Rey Mysterio.
Although Logan Paul may be able to lay claim to the most uplifting entrance after arriving on a zipline for his match with Rollins on night one.
Shawn Michaelsfamously made his way to the ring at WrestleMania XII via a zipline, as ‘Mr. WrestleMania’ prepared to take on Bret Hart in an Iron Man Match for the WWE Championship.
However, during WWE’s latest release, it appears that Paul’s WrestleMania 39 moment had been turned down not once, but twice.
Youtuber Paul shared how he originally requested the high-flying entrance last year, but bosses were not convinced and even said no when Paul asked again in 2023.
The rookie told WWE the match was taking place on his 28th birthday, and that the entrance could be their gift to him.
The behind-the-scenes footage released by WWE shows a practice run where the zipline fails to lift Paul, but after a couple of attempts, it takes off.
Seth Rollins was not going to be outdone at WrestleMania 39 by the social media star and was granted a grand entrance of his own, with a conductor orchestrating fans through a special rendition of his entrance music.
Logan Paul Was Primed To Deliver In WWE WrestleMania Match With Seth Rollins
Logan Paul’s flying entry led to his fifth match in WWE, as the social media sensation looked to celebrate his birthday by remaining unbeaten in WrestleMania matches.
At WrestleMania 38 in Texas, Paul teamed up with The Miz scoring a win over Rey Mysterio and his son Dominik.
After the match The Miz delivered a Skull Crushing Finale to his partner, setting up a singles match at Summerslam which saw Paul win and go 2-0 in WWE.
Next up, Paul was given the opportunity to challenge Roman Reigns for both the Universal and WWE Championships at Crown Jewel, showcasing his athletic ability with high flying moves before succumbing to his first loss in the company.
The road to a second WrestleMania match started during the Royal Rumble as Paul eliminated Rollins. While he later cost the two-time Grand Slam Champion a shot at lifting the US Championship at Elimination Chamber.
Over the next few weeks, Paul gained the upper hand on Rollins, with knockout shots on Raw, setting up a heated battle at Sofi Stadium.
