WWE Icons: Rob Van Dam is set to premiere on Peacock and the WWE Network on May 16th.
The new documentary will hit screens on the same day that WrestleMania Backlash comes live from the ThunderDome.
The documentary will take a look back at Van Dam’s life and legendary career, speaking to the man himself and those who were there for his greatest triumphs.
Speaking about the next instalment in the series, Rob Van Dam previously revealed that WWE didn’t restrict what he was able to talk about in the episode.
Along with a release date, WWE have also unveiled a trailer of the show, which can be viewed below.
Despite not having competed inside a WWE ring, save for a one off appearance in 2019, since 2014, Van Dam has enjoyed a banner year with WWE. Alongside the debut of the documentary, Mr Monday Night was also inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
Speaking after his induction, Van Dam said that Vince McMahon told him that he had changed wrestling.
Rob Van Dam has only competed in the ring once since leaving IMPACT in September 2020. It is currently unclear whether or not Van Dam will return to the ring on a permanent basis. With the man himself
commenting that he doesn’t really miss wrestling.
WWE Icons is a documentary series which initially premiered in back in January. To date episodes on Yokozuna and Beth Phoenix have been released. Following the upcoming edition on RVD, the series will look back at the lives and careers of The British Bulldog and Lex Luger.
