Before his passing, WWE legend Hulk Hogan was allegedly dealing with an illness that even his family was unaware of.
Hulk Hogan passed away on July 24, 2025, due to an acute myocardial infarction (simply known as a heart attack). However, new reports were added that, aside from heart failure, The Hulkster was allegedly also suffering from chronic lymphocytic leukemia prior to his death.
It was also reported that Hogan’s passing was due to medical malpractice, which led to his widow, Sky Daily, filing a lawsuit against the doctors who personally attended the wrestling icon.
In his interview with Danny Jones, Bubba ‘The Love’ Sponge, Hogan’s former friend and the first one who reported that the legend was on his “deathbed,” disclosed The Hulkster’s diseases, which led to his sudden demise.
The radio personality then revealed that when he spoke to Hogan’s daughter, Brooke, about the leukemia, she and those close to The Hulkster were in shock because no one actually knew about this.
Um, you know, they say he [Hogan] died of a heart attack with complications of the heart valve. It was also disclosed that he had leukemia, which is blood cancer. And I, you know, I’ve talked to Brooke extensively, and that was news to her and news to everybody. Nobody knew that he was dealing with that,” Bubba revealed. [H/T Ringside News]

Nick Hogan Named As Hulk Hogan’s Sole Beneficiary of His Estate
In his death, Hulk Hogan left $5 million in assets (crypto, right to publicity, and personal and intellectual property). His son, Nick, was listed as the lone recipient of The Hulkster’s assets, while his daughter, Brooke, was not included.
Meanwhile, Hogan’s widow, Sky Daily, was listed as the surviving spouse. Nick filed the documents with Terry McCoy, who was the WWE Hall of Famer’s financial manager, to be the representative of his father’s estate.
