WWE is looking to add another famous face to WrestleMania 40.
As has been the case for the last 40 years, some of the biggest stars from music, sports and the wider entertainment world have either performed, camoed or competed at the biggest event on WWE’s calendar. From Cyndi Lauper at WrestleMania 1 to George Kittle at WrestleMania 39, celebrities are guaranteed to be in attendance. According to a new report, a Philadelphia superstar could be added to the list.
As reported by Fightful Select, former Philadelphia Eagles centre Jason Kelce has been contacted by the company in regards to an appearance at WrestleMania 40. Kelce was part of the 2017 Super Bowl-winning team that defeated the New England Patriots, who had NFL megastar Tom Brady as the quarterback at the time along with tight end Rob Gronkowski, who served as a host for WrestleMania 36. Due to his connection with the city, Kelce is expected to receive a massive ovation if involved at the event. Now retired, Kelce hosts the successful podcast New Heights, which has more than 2 million subscribers on YouTube.
Celebrities already confirmed for the event include Meek Mill and Lil Wayne.
In a previous interview, Seth Rollins extended an invitation to both Kelce brothers to be at Lincoln Financial Field for the show along with Travis Kelces partner and pop icon Taylor Swift.
