WWE Hall Of Famer Wants Sami Zayn To Reunite With The Original Bloodline

A key figure in the Anoaʻi family feels Sami Zayn needs to reunite with the original Bloodline.

The original Bloodline have been slowly but surely reforming, with Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso reuniting at WWE Bad Blood. On the October 25th episode of SmackDown, Jimmy hugged his former tag team partner Jey Uso, creating a rival faction to stand against the stable’s current lineup of Solo Sikoa, The Tongans (Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa) and Jacob Fatu. This left just Sami Zayn, who was a key member of the Bloodline during arguably their most dominant period, however, his current allegiance still remains unconfirmed, after he got involved in the chaotic climax to the Bloodline match at Crown Jewel. WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi feels the addition of Zayn would help “complete” the original Bloodline.

Rikishi is the father of not only Jimmy and Jey Uso, but also Solo Sikoa, putting him in a unique position to comment on the Bloodline Civil War. On his Off The Top podcast – recorded before the events of Crown Jewel – Rikishi gave his insight into how integral Sami Zayn is for the Bloodline:

“I think Sami Zayn fits exactly into the Bloodline. You can never replace the originals. So if we go back a few years or so, we talk about the original Bloodline. So there’s that one piece that’s missing now. Now they got Jey, and there’s just one piece that’s missing. So if you replace it with somebody else, I don’t feel it’s complete. Because you can’t replace an original faction. I don’t feel that you could get the best out of it. The fans want to see Sami there. That’s what I’m feeling. That’s what I’m hearing, just by watching what’s happening. You can listen to the fans, and even the drama behind the scenes between Jimmy, Jey. We seen that, with Sami trying to talk to Jey. ‘This is not your business.’ Well, in a way, it is. Because the Bloodline is family.”

Rikishi’s comments were made before the Bloodline bout at Crown Jewel, which saw Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu & Tama Tonga emerge victorious. When the winners continued their attack after the final bell, Sami Zayn appeared, hitting an Exploder Suplex on Solo Sikoa. However, Zayn went on to hit Roman Reigns with a Helluva Kick that was seemingly intended for Sikoa. The segment ended with Reigns and the Usos uncertain of what had happened, and Zayn’s allegiances still undecided.

Rikishi went on to suggest that Sami Zayn should look to his son Jey as an example of putting family first:

“I hope Sami can see where Jey’s mind is at and kind of understand, Jey is caught in a crossfire. He’s doing well on his own, but you’ve got your twin brother asking you, ‘We need your help.’ This is where we’re cut from a different cloth – being able to say, now’s the time for me just to do family.”

WWE Champion Believes Sami Zayn Will Join Hall Of Fame

A current title-holder at WWE feels it’s only a matter of time before Sami Zayn is inducted into the Hall of Famer, claiming Zayn has “been on top for quite some time” and that we “all should pay our respects” to him.
