A WWE Hall of Famer hopes to reunite with AJ Lee.
Last week on SmackDown in Chicago, fans saw the surprising return of AJ Lee. Joining her husband, CM Punk’s side, fans saw Lee take down Becky Lynch.
Later, on Raw, Lee continued to go against Lynch, and got herself and Punk booked a match against Lynch and Seth Rollins at WrestlePalooza. However, while Lee was involved in her feud against Lynch, Hall of Famer Nikki Bella opened up about her hopes of reuniting with her.
In the latest episode of The Nikki & Brie Show, Nikki Bella suggested,
“It was great, AJ is back. She and I were chatting for a bit backstage and we were both just saying how crazy it is [that] you’re here when I’m back. I’m like, ‘No, I’m so happy you’re back.’ It was great talking to her. I actually hope we get a moment because when you think about it — everyone’s talking about it on the internet and it is true.
I mean, we were so much of each other’s most important stories at that time with the Diva’s Championship before she had left, even with you and Paige. It was so much about us. We have to have a moment. I feel that even this Monday we should have a moment backstage. I’m hoping at some point we have that interaction because I know the fans would love it.”

While Lee continued her rivalry with Lee, fans witnessed Bella suffering a submission loss against Asuka.
Despite Their Recent WWE On-Screen Reunion, CM Punk Once Made Clear The Things He Does Not Do With His Wife AJ Lee
Earlier this year, while speaking to TV Insider, CM Punk was asked if fans could ever see him and AJ Mendez work together on TV or a movie. Answering the question, The Second City Saint revealed the two things he does not do with his wife.
There are really two things me and my wife don’t do together. One is to work out and the other is to work together. It’s really the perfect relationship. She is my partner through and through. She has her things, and I have mine. When the right thing comes along, I guarantee we will work together. Although I’m not looking over her shoulder while she is slaving away at her computer telling her to write a role for me for her many projects coming up. I’m sure it will happen if it fits.
And it has to fit. It can’t be forced. It can’t be her just writing something for me or vice-versa or me trying to get her slotted into something because she is my wife. She is a creative genius and extremely talented in her own right. So, anything we do end up doing together will be super fun, but it has to be the right fit.”
